Sounds good and with a white bike, a little tip for you...put a little johnsons baby oil on a cloth and wipe ALL OVER the bike before you wash it with water and shampoo......it lifts all the oil and grease off everything, so when you get the chamois leather on it, you don't have to polish out any little grease or oil spots. Baby oil also works a treat if you are cleaning the Swingarm or even the engine if you ever need to take that apart!

You won't go back Gavin......Stretchie was amazed at how it worked and clean freak ValleyBoy who takes his fairings off after big rides to make sure everything is spotless also uses it. It's fab!
Wideboy

Hiya peeps!!
Sorry I said Hello and got distracted by Facebook. I'm good Cheryl thanks. How was your ride on Henry today?
Hopefully gonna clean Suzie tomorrow before it rains so I can get the cover on her. So do you do the baby oil first before you wash the bike?
Wideboy
27-03-10, 10:59 PM
baby oil first?, i got to Tcut the paint and the swingarm is caked in oil ...... im confused.com we need a guide!!
I need to take my dunlop stickers off now...
DarrenSV650S
27-03-10, 11:02 PM
baby oil? ffs it's a bike
just use a hose and a sponge and ride the thing
gruntygiggles
27-03-10, 11:04 PM
The best way to remove oil or grease is with another type of oil or grease. If you wash the bike first, you can then go around with a little baby oil on a cloth and wipe off all the oil/grease spots easily. BUT...if you go all over the bike with the baby oil first, it lifts all the oil/grease spots off so they are just not there when you wash it and polish it.
What on the paint have you got to Tcut WB? If the swingarm is caked in oil.....seriously, get some baby oil, pour some on a cloth and it will wipe off so easy you'll wonder how you managed before.

Oil is a bikes friend!:D

gruntygiggles
27-03-10, 11:08 PM
Hehehe....Amanda, if you ever get oil or grease on your carpet, try a baby wipe first (they are AMAZING) and if that doesn't lift it, get the baby oil out!

27-03-10, 11:12 PM

Oh yeah, I already use baby wipes for my carpet. They are amazing.
In all seriousness I do use baby oil everytime I shower. I get really red itchy skin on my arms and legs and have in the past tried the usual E45, Diprobase, Oilatum, etc. Baby oil has been the only one to stop it.
Didn't know what using it for other things though - cool!
Wideboy
27-03-10, 11:13 PM
i'll try teh baby oil tomorrow but right now im off to the land off nod

meh, id like green, but black or blue will do, blue more than black as black is the colour of your stinking clothes!
Not really, i dont like black bikes / cars as much as you can see the swirl marks from washing and polishing etc

yo dudes, back from the isle of man safely... bloody freezing on the way home!
A few things you didn't know about the IOM, everyone seems to be called graham and woo woo is banned in ramsey. Oh and the Coffee Pot takeaway tried to poison me with what seemed like a tasty meal at the time but it turned out to be chips with cheese and curry sauce with a sausage thrown on top..
The mountain road is absolutely legendary - got a video of me and my new mountain brother Dan (aka irksy).. some bird in preston thought we were brothers as well!
