As I recently posted on the .Org that I'd sold the bike, unfortunately that sale has fallen through. The bike needs to go, so it's up for sale.

Being completely honest, it's in a bit of a tatty state, and due to the previous potential buyer needs a little work doing to it. That will be done before sale subject to time, otherwise I'll knock off the cost of OEM replacements (or give the buyer the replacements I've bought by then).

It's got 5 months tax, and 11months MOT. I don't have many pictures of it in it's current state (I can get these in the next few days), but it will need bits & pieces doing by whoever buys it. Nothing major though.

The bad points:
- It's a K6 (06 plate), and has in the region of 50k miles on the clock. I'm uncertain of the exact milage as the clocks were changed due to a fault.
- Owing to the above, the speedo over-reads by around double. I believe this is because the clocks came from a pre K5 bike where the speedo sensor had 4 wires into the loom, whereas the K6's have 8 wires. To give a guide price, I picked up the clocks for £90 from a member here.
- It has minor crash damage to the front left fairing, the right crash bung is missing, there's a few scratch marks on the pillion peg/exhaust hanger from an off. The rear plastics have a few gouges in it. The buyer that's fallen through was planning on getting it resprayed (in green), and I've had a rough quote for this for £150.
- Various bolts have rusted/snapped over time, these have individually been replaced with stainless ones as/when they've snapped.
- The rear caliper & caliper hanger need replacing (this is one of the bolts that snapped & it was drilled/re-threaded good enough to pass an MOT).
- It currently has a 180 section rear tyre, but I've found this not to affect handling at all really - in fact, I prefer it to the standard 160 section.

That's all I can think of at the moment for bad points, but I won't rule out the possibility of there being more I haven't remembered right now.

I'm looking OIRO £1200 due to the condition/problems, and willing to deliver the bike nationwide (subject to a 100% agreed sale, with deposit paid up front, and the cost of a one way return train ticket back to North Wales & fuel to get there).

EDIT: Contrary to the above, I'm actually pretty open to offers. Everything in life is negotiable. If anyone is interested, make an offer, you'll be surprised at what I'll accept for it.

I'll also be looking to sell various bits, at the moment just things like the torque wrench and NWS Ulti-mate stand, possibly a few more tools, but not much. If anyone is interested in these, feel free to PM me to make an offer seperately.

I'm looking to sell the bike elsewhere, and it'll also be on Ebay as soon as I have pics unless it's sold before that.

I'd say Ebay is your friend with a bike like this ..... :-)

Or Part-ex it ......

Part-ex isn't an option, but I did say the bike will be going on Ebay ASAP unless it's sold. This isn't the only place it's advertised already. I'll also be calling around local dealerships to see what price they can give me. But I know now is a quiet time for them. :(

Also, Nobbylad, your PM quota is exceeded, so I can't reply to your PM.

Your bit about the speedo isn't quite right baph.

Wires to the sensor are exactly the same, all that would be required is to fit a new speedo rotor (about £15 IIRC) to suit the early model clocks! Or indeed chop 2 poles off the rotor that's in there.

Very true. My mistake. It's the magnets that have been doubled, not the wires.

At the moment, the bike hasn't sold. I may end up keeping it, so I'm reluctant to discuss the value of tools. This thread is about the bike.

pics?

I have no way to get pics online at the moment. But PM me a mobile number & I can send a few.

Also, if the bike is going to go, I'm pretty open to negotiation on price. If anyone is interested, make an offer - you'd probably be surprised at what I will accept for it.

I'm considering keeping it & doing it up over time, which is something I have a lot of at the moment. I'm also considering breaking it to free equity in it. Please don't spam the thread with parts requests though, PM me to discuss that.
