Should be easy, but this is me we're talking about...

I need to put one of the straps round the headstock. Which leaves me with a couple of questions:

1. What is the headstock, I think I sort of know.

2. If it is what I think, then there are cables and lines running both sides will the strap from the tank cover cause any issues?

Trying to fit it tomorrow, so may be back with some more seriously dumba$$ questions.

I'm sure it would be the same answers for an SV, but this is cor the CBR-RR.

Cheers,
Kev

I think your thinking about it too much, just lay it on and you'll get the idea where straps should go. The straps at the top of the tank cover go through a hole in the frame behind where the forks connect to the frame. And the other ones hook onto the edge of the tank, watch for the heat protection under the tank (I found it fouled some of the side straps on the SV, just prise it to one side a wee bit). One tip is put it on losely and tighten each abit at a time otherwise you'll end up with the hole for the fuel tank not lineing up properly.

This was on the SV though so I expect it'll be alot easier on the CBR! ;-)

Fitted it, but man it looks cr&p! Totally out of place on my poor bike but needs must!

Sturdy bit of kit the Baglux stuff.

I always cover the tank in electrical tape (slightly unsticked by sticking strips on my jumper and jeans first before applying as it will come off easier). And also where the straps attach underneath the tank. Get a couple tidy layers on there.

Protects your paint.
