My SV for sale :(

It has a GSXR 600 front end, GSXR 1000 (05) shock, rebuilt suspension linkage with new bearings (no slack!), stripped forks and new oil, forks are like new. New brake discs all round and HH pads, new roller bearing head bearings, braided brake lines F+R. Stebel nautilus horn (REALLY loud:smt119) nightbreaker headlight bulbs. Some service history, i service it myself new oil + filter, valve clearances checked 500 miles ago, throttle bodies balanced, new chain and sprocket 500 miles ago, brakes stripped and regreased. New Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier tires 200 miles ago. SV1000 snorkel and K&N filter and stubied CCC can.

Most bolts have been replaced by stainless items and

Mileage is around 17k i'll double check that, paintwork is generally very good with the odd scratch here and there. Never been down the road or dropped. MOT til May 2010 and tax til November. Also all pillion parts with it.

£2000 ONO Part ex/swap for ford focus/mondeo WHY

You need to ride this bike to see how much better it is than stock! The suspension upgrades really do transform it, and the front brakes are outrageously good! Got to go as i now need a car for work and can't afford both.

Damn, I wish that had been on the market when I bought mine. I paid £1700 for a scruffy SK4, so £2000 with decent suspension is a real bargain.

I'm afraid so mate, i need a car unfortunately! Otherwise i wouldn't be selling mine. I know i'll end up regretting it after all the work i've out into this but as the bank have turned me down for a loan i'm left with no other choice!

Hello svdemon,

Would a black vauxhall vectra sri 140 bhp interest you?

X reg 2000

65000 miles

12 months mot

New vauxhall cambelt fitted

Good body apart from some scuffs to the front bumper and some small carpark dings

Owned for the last 4/5 years

Damn the pointy looks sooooo much better than the curvy, need to start saving. One thing ive never understood is why dont people just buy a gsxr? rather than an sv650 and add gsxr part which is intended for a different purpose?

Because i don't want a GSXR! I like the SV engine and the £63 a year insurance!

Ahhh, you like the engine. Is it not it hard getting insurance with those mods though?

I like everything about the bike i just wanted better quality suspension! And seeing as its free why not??

Its only different suspension so the insurance companys aren't too fussed generally.

Yep surprisingly insurance companies are only arsed if it's a non road legal mod.
Hence why a modified sv650 costs me £400 a year and a sports 6 would be over £1500*

according to a comparison website anyway not actually done a proper trawl for sportsbike insurance.
