Unfortunately not :(
I need a car to do my job so couldn't leave off getting one. Quotes before hand were sickening, spent a week solid searching and everywhere said £4k+ bar one place - churchhill, £2.5k for a golf :puker: Will still shop around and see if I can get it any cheaper though. Really wish I'd got my **** into gear and took my IAM exam though, that'd probably knock it down a fair wedge more.

seriously, look into cisco courses, they are much more network liable than ms courses and with one you can demand a nice pay rise.

I've never touched cisco kit in my life, infact what do they make other than switches? Isn't it all command line?

they are slowly modernising and they sell full network kit, you get yourself qualified by them and your boss would have to give you a pay rise because it's an industry recorgnised traingin course

I thought an MCP was an industry recognised qual too? Worth looking into I guess, I have heard modern cisco kit is 'pee easy'.

Dunno about the payrise but well worth the effort having Cisco network stuff rather than MCP (not bad having both if actually working on networks)

Err it may be but a lot of places know realise that having the certs is nothing compared to someone who does hands on

I'm going to hazard a guess its a business insurance rather than just social/domestic, its the reason I refuse to use my bike to visit other offices round here, I aint insured, doesn't mean I don't commute to distant offices occasionally ;)

Agree, Just not sure about the cisco stuff as it's not currently relevant to my job but I'll look into it. ta

Indeed, I'm better practically than at the certificate stuff, been doing it a couple of years now competently a lot of the crap on the exam was pinickity theory you rarely use.

Quite right, that's business cover too.

Asked for ID.

I got offered a seat on a bus - cheeky young whippersnapper.

Well done on the MS course. My engineers had to go thro' that and the CISCO. Not easy...
