I am sitting on the sofa with my Son who is 25 months old, and browsing the org whilst watching "Crash" on TV. The bike crashes came on with a red bike and he got excited, looked at me, shouted "Daddy! and pointed at the TV, then when the rider crashed his face dropped completely and he exclaimed "Oops, oh no Daddy!" in a dismayed voice and came and put his arms round my neck. :smt049
Aw! Amazing what goes on in their wee heads.
My two year old goes nuts in the car when she sees a bike and shouts " BIKE BIKE BIKE!" but freaks when she sees me in my leathers! Dafty:D
Awwwwwwww
On a recent visit to my neices I took them both to the park, a couple of friendly dogs tried to say hello to the youngest one. She was obviously upset and scared, so I picked her up. I tried to explain that the dogs way of saying hello was to lick her hand, she was having none of it though, and explained to me "no Aunty Anna, they lick my hand to see if I am tasty or not!"
I didnt know what to say to that as I was trying to hide my laughter.

I found a little pile of blond hair behind the door this morning. The 3 year old and 1 year old have exchanged hair cuts with crappy 'safe' scissors. My wife went ape

My daugher Megs shaved her brother Harry's hair off in the bath after hubby left his razor there accidentally. He had a bald bit in front for ages, and part of an eyebro missing.

That's really sweet, mine isn't into bikes on telly - just the real ones!

When my Mum was alive she was a teacher in South Africa.
One day she showed her class a map of the world and told them the story of how my Grandad, her father, brought her family overland (across the Sahara desert etc) from Manchester to Durban to emigrate.
She explained all the exciting bits of sandstorms and how she nearly got eaten by a croc in a river and how her Dad shot it and the locals made leather out of the hide and ate the meat.
After this a child put their hand up, pointed at the map of the world and said excitedly...
'Miss...where's Checkers?' (like Sainsburys)
I was at work one saturday at the bike shop i work in, and all we could hear was basicly growling, so i had a look and it was a little boy running around, about 1 - 2 yrs old and he was pointing at the bikes and his Dad said it was the boys way of saying bike :D

I'm dreading that. Our twenty one year old son has been away for 3 years, but the others-aged 15 and 14 are still at home. I can't imagine an empty house, and I never thought I'd feel that way.

I love it now that its just him and me, my girls are 29 and 27 the older one has a boy of 8 but i doubt he will be into bikes, every time we turn the bikes over he s**ts himself and goes in the house

he was pointing at the bikes and his Dad said it was the boys way of saying bike :D
Took him round Coventry Museum of Transport today, he spend the whole time naming all the vehicles, car, truck, bus, tractor, etc, and going "brum, brum".
The only one he can't say is "Bike". His word for bicycle or motorbike was initially "Nan" and now it's become "Dan". Where did he get that from? Go figure I think he just made it up
When my son was about 2 1/2 yrs old I took him with me to buy me some new specs. I was being served by a very cute young lass aged about 20 whilst holding Dan in my arms. Every now and again he'd call "Daddy" to get my attention and I'd reply with "Not now Daniel, I'm talking" or "wait til I'm finished" - I knew he didn't need the loo cos he'd just been. After about 4 or 5 of these interuptions I was getting a bit peeved so said quite sharply "Yes Daniel, what do you want?", to which he pointed to the girl serving me and said with a big grin on his face "Daddy... she's a babe".
The poor girl didn't know how to take my smiling reply of "Yes, you're right, she is" so she went and got some fat ugly munter to serve me instead.

This reminds me of a thing with Matts Niece. She called Matts brother "deidre" instead of ben  Which is hilarious due to the gender swap & the fact that deidre is harder to say than ben..!

Baby Wyrdness is too young to speak yet, but he still does some cute things. He was watching a cartoon recently about a stuffed bear that helps children. A little girl on the cartoon gave the bear a hug. On seeing this, Luis turned round, walked over to me and gave me a hug too.
He seems to like bikes. One of our neighbours has a VN1600 with loud Vance & Hines pipes. It's got a lovely deep rumbling v-twin sound and Luis gets very excited when he hears it, and goes running to the window. I think that he might be a v-twin aficionado like his daddy.

Great things kids do? Wave when you ride by. Adults sometimes veiw bikers as some sort of anti-social group, but kids seem to love us.
My neice, for a while, would call me "broom broom mammoo" on acount of my bike.
Also, out of all the bikes parked up in my dad's garage (mint GSXR750, mint VFR400, crappy scooter, my middle-ground SV) she liked mine the most. Reason?
"lellow" (yellow)
there we have it. 10 year old yellow curvy SV's. Officiaully Approved by my 2-year old neice.

We were at the zoo when my daughter was 5, watching 2 tigers sleeping. The male was laying there with the most ENORMOUS 'plums' on display. My daughter turns around and says:
"you can tell which ones the boy mummy"
"Really, how?"
"Its the one with the huge.........PAWS!!!!"

my 3yr old boy hears my coming home from work, runs to the front door as he always wants a lift to the garage at the back of the house, he rides between me and the tank, the 5yr old girl wants so much to ride pillion, but i have told her she can't till both feet touch the pegs so comes and checks most days, she gets very disapointed bless her, she does ride on the back with me at the top of the close if shes been a good girl she gets off the bike grining from ear to ear,http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=190417&l=79e2e63c18&id=1391552863

I've got my 3 month old started early...soon as the race is on TV he stops everything to watch. This morning he had to be fed lying on the couch as if I had him sat up he couldn't see the TV and kept pushing the bottle out the way.
can't figure out if he's a rossi or stoner fan yet though.

I was outside fitting a new indicator to the SV a couple of weeks ago when the little eight year old boy from the upstairs flat came home. He saw me and started to chat about the bike saying how cool it was. He was so enthused I asked him if he wanted to help fix it and sure enough he ran into his Mum and asked if he could stand in the rain with me and fix the bike.
He was really helpful too and was most upset when his Mum called him in ten minutes later for his tea.

My newest nephw is now 8 months old so yesterday I went for a walk with him and the rest of the family. Bored with the normal walk round the lakes I decided to head off into the woodland hilly walk with the buggy and go off roading. This nearly killed me - however, the little chap loved it. He started making an 'eeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr' noise like an idling engine so that as I went over all the bumps and tree roots his voice went 'errrerrreeeerrreerrrrr'. Then he'd just laugh himself silly. If I stopped or slowed he'd flap his little arms to make me go faster again. A future as a rally driver beckons I think.
