When I had my bike parked up at my flat when i was an undergrad at uni, I used to get very worried it would be taken away because it wasnt really very secure (although it was chained to a bucket of concrete). I would get up a few times in the night and just look out the window; if i heard a van or something, I would get up and make sure it wasnt someone coming to have my bike away.

I also got paranoid when it was windy, that my bike would blow over.

Now I have a ground anchor and the car traps the bike in, I don't worry so much. I'll still take a look first thing in the morning, but I dont need to get up at night now

How is your bike secured? Maybe we can help you out a little by suggesting some upgraded security measures?

Dont worry, I dont think your alone on this one!

I washed my bike on Friday night then went round to see the Doris. Went back home Saturday night and the bike was still there on the drive.......with the keys in the ignition.

I occasionally worry its gone, especially when i hear another bike late at night, and i always check it in the morning.

Used to get worried leaving it outside missleedsmatt place. It was chained to an anchor but I decided to stop riding over after we went for a trip out and despite it been day time someone had removed the cover and pulled the lock to the front. Convinced this meant they were coming back in the night I rode it back to mine and didnt return on it. Cage only, which sucked as parking nearby was a nightmare in its self.

Some idiot down south left his keys in his R1 the other night, I took it for a quick spin round the block, pretty carp chav mobile if you ask me. It won't look like I had it though, it hadn't been dropped.

Personally, when our garage was not part of our house at our old house, I worried myself to death and used to leave my window open to listen out for the alarm, even in the winter I would freeze myself, just to know the bike was safe.

Now, the garage is part of the house and is alarmed. If some **** tries to break in, he'll soon meet me and my old boy.

Old boy meaning my father, chum. Do keep up will you.

Showing them 'that' would have to be assuming they are wearing built in microscopes.

Stick a rifle/crossbow next to a convenient window.

I once had a nightmare that someone had completely stripped my bike overnight, so that all that was left was the frame.

Only when I've just crashed it. Replays in your head as you are dropping off to sleep.

I wake up covered in sweat, freezing cold and with my heart pounding in my chest.

God I hate the nightmare where I'm a curvy owner...

I had a very weird dream last night.

I'd left my bike parked up somewhere safe and when i returned to it i noticed nothing weird about it...until i rode off and the front wheel kept lifting off the ground by a few inches under gentle acceleration.

I was concerned cos i dont (read cant) do wheelies so i pulled up to have a look at it. Turned out someone had taken the entire front end off my bike and replaced it with the front end off a mountain bike and gone to the trouble of reconnecting the throttle, brake, clutch cables etc.

How very, very wierd.
