No back brake on the Falco, so removed the caliper to split it & service, but can't move the 2 bolts to split the two halves of the caliper.
Fork in to$$er who did it last has virtually rounded out the alen key hex type hole on the bolt, they are solid.
I have had the pistons out & cleaned them up, but want to split the body to make sure the internal seal is OK or replace.
Any ideas gents how I can get the fuggers out.cheers - OG

Yes. You need something very solid to serve as an anvil, a short, flat ended drift of some significant weight and a hammer.
Place caliper on anvil, depending on the exact form of your brake this may need to be shaped to allow a straight impact to be applied to the bolt head, place drift against bolt head, hit very hard.
This will, (if you get it right), do two things; it will shock apart the stuck threads, and it will compress the material of the cailper body underneath the bolt heads such that the bolt is no longer tight, (the caliper will have a dish in its surface under the bolt head and effectively be narrower than it previously was, so the bolt will not be hard against the surface).
You need to be certain that the anvil holds the caliper such that the force is applied perfectly squarely along the axis of the bolt and also against the threaded area in the body only, and that your drift will press against the bolt head only.
It sounds vicious, but it works very well - I've done this many times and I've never damaged a caliper doing so.
