Several, and I mean several, Organs have told me in the past two days that I am weird..."in a goodway"....so I put it to the general public with a poll!!!

Lol, thanks very my jinxy! I will return the favour someday!
if you have to ask this question on an open forum then simply look in to the mirror and ask the person you look at...
If the answer is Yes then yes.
if the answer is no, then "Yes..." (why did you do what I asked?)
if the answer is KeithD then Yes....
so...
Yes.

"weird" is un-PC these days. The correct term is "special" ;)

In this mixed up world, who isn't a little bit weird? :smt101
Carry your oddness with Pride Honey, wear it as a badge of honour and may many happy things happen to you. If it helps, I can recommend a very good Psychologist. She did wonders for me, I am much less weird now than I used to be, especially since I stopped talking to the furniture. Damn my OCD! :smt005

I got fed up with its personal problems and to be honest it is just a couch. It just sits there, doing nothing all day while I slave at work. It would be nice if every now and again I could come home and find that maybe the couch had cooked me some dinner or had maybe put the cat out. I don't mind the cat, but the smoke makes my eyes water! :smt101
Voted 'no'.
We all have our own little quirks. Don't worry about yours, especially coz most people won't worry about them for you.
Fill your days with good things, and b*ll*x to the rest...
o def mbk................you are really wierd
Von Teese

I voted 'No' because I dont think you are actually 'weird' as such.
Quirky yes but then thats called having a personality!
Anyway, you should stop worrying about what other people think of you, I think you have a good, kind and caring heart and that's what counts, if other people fail to recognise that, then it's their loss!
I used to worry about other people not liking me until one day a friend chose to turn on me and lie about me to as many people that she could.
I then realised that ANYONE can say ANYTHING about you, but that DOESNT MAKE IT TRUE!!!
So I just stopped caring about what other people thought of me (especially her) and got on with my life, as it turns out she did me a favour in many ways and I guess I should Pause......and say 'Thank You' because without the way you treated me, I would never have what I have now.

I voted no as we have had some good chats recently and you enjoy a bit of banter, you have also helped during this hard time. You ain't weird......trust me....there are some REALLY weird folk in this place!!!! :D
voted no as i dont know you well enough to say yes

Voted 'yes' as I don't know you, so my opinion doesn't really count. Anyway, I think that 'weird' is a good thing. Everybody that I like is weird.
I guess no as i think everyone else is an idiot or strange, which leads me to the conclusion its me.
And you aint no-where near me yet ;) Other than looking like a 5 year old with big glasses and an obsession with white chocolate?
wierd in a nice way - like me my friend call me slightly mad and nicely unhinged
but not met you so cannot say.

If you can define what "normal" is for me then I'll tell you whether you are weird or not.
At the end of day it doesnt matter what other people think. As long as you are happy with you, everybody else can go get stuffed.

Your asking if I think your weird, somebody, whose past 2 avatars have been of trainers and jeans. Come up with a sensible explanation for it and I will not think you are weird ;)
Maybe your just into feet? I can cope with that.

MBK, i was going to post a similar thing about myself; however, the tone of the thread wasn't going to be really positive, as I feel I might be weird in a bad way. I find myself scrutinising everything I say before I say it, and often a joke or something I might like to make I don't, incase people don't understand.
Often, I'll keep things to myself and just smile and laugh with the rest of the people.
*sigh*
MBK, I dont think your weird though, I think your pretty cool and have a sense of humor that is slighty off the mainstream which I get

You shouldnt feel that way, most of us have met you at the AR09 and think you are weird anyway ;)
Just joking, as long as the humour isnt hurtful to others I dont see the problem.
In these stressful times I think all human beings are a little weird in some ways.

I think all of us Weirdies should get together on maybe an internet forum, maybe about a mutual interest in...
Oh hang on... :D
As I understood it, Zaphod Beeblebrox is the most weird life form in the universe anyway, but it has been so long since I read the books (My brother borrowed them from me and then disowned me taking them with him, the Swine!) I can't remember the exact quote. :smt026

I wear my heart on my sleeve on here because I can. You have no idea whether or not I am streetwise and my job or my ability to my job does not come into this.
This thread was a joke as a response to an MSN convo with Wideboy which went:
Gav - "You're weird!!!"
Me-"Am not"
Gav -"Are too"
Me "Am not"
Gav- "Are too..."
and so on and so forth.
It was a joke. A fecking joke.

Nice choice of vocabulary. You asked, and I gave on opinion from what has transpired on this site and I don't really care one way or the other--------but you do seem rather touchy when anybody comments.

I have over reacted to Dicky Ticker. Sorry.
Never post when reeling from bad news eh?!
I thought the OP was quite bantery (is that a word) and the "in good way" bit and the KeithD option gave away that it was meant as a joke?!

your wierd, get out ;)
If the wierd ones are leaving - you better get your coat!
But thats not how it read, it read as a serious question... its not our fault that you didnt word your original post in such as way to imply that you were having banter or a joke.
Perhaps it woudl have just been easier to not to continue an MSN conversation on the forum.. I mean its not the first thread you've started which provoked a reaction which you didnt expect or want is it ? Surely by now you might be begining to work out how this place works.
If I sound harsh, apologies...
Not as harsh as I'm about to be.
I have never met you MBK, and so I base this on what I have read on this forum alone. Maybe not a valid basis but I have no other. You come across as being self-obsessed and insecure. As others have said, if you ask questions, there's a fair chance that you won't like some replies.

Yeh, this is my fault, this post unfortunately doesn't come with eyebrows so yeah, maybe came across as being serious, although most people seemed to have gotten the gist of it.
And I stand by what someone said earlier...I am probably more "special" than weird....
Neio, I like fruitcake!

I'm gonna cut MBK a bit of slack. I am sticking up for her here, even if some of this post may come across as patronising, it's not intended that way, it's just because I'm going to be frank an honest about the way I see it, so MBK don't take any offence.
I've never met MBK either, and whilst I think she doesn't half post some crap sometimes, I put that down to the fact MBK is 21 and I'm 12-13 years older.
In terms of the internet, it's a rapidly developing media within which 5 years is a hell of a long time, so I'm from a completely different internet generation, as are Fizz, Ed, and Dicky Ticker. MBK is part of what I call the Twitter Generation, whereas I have completely different expectations about what is normal on the internet. I don't understand why the twitter generation feel the need to tell us every time they sneeze or fart, but I don't need to understand it, so I'm not going to bother myself over it.
Also if MBK's posts come across as insecure sometimes, she is only 21 and probably only just finding her feet in life, and now she has to find her feet on this forum.
Were you "secure" at 21? I wasn't and I still bothered what other people thought of me and was always trying to make an impression. I rode motorbikes like a 'effin idiot 'cos I wanted to impress my mates and be the fastest. If internet forums had existed at the time, I probably would have posted a lot of crap too.
Also whenever somebody has asked for help from the boys and girls in blue as happens a lot on a motorbike forum, MBK is always more than happy to help, offer advise and share knowledge, and in my case took the effort to go away and read the manual and report back her findings, which I appreciated.
She has a good heart and I basically get the impression she's a good lass who would do anything for anyone.
MBK, if the way you come across on this forum is just you being yourself, then yes you are weird. If you recognise some of who I was a 21 in yourself, then just be yourself and don't worry what other people think. The people who you want to know will like you for who you are, and those who don't, well what the hell, you can't be friends with everybody and if people are not compatible with you then you don't want to be friends with them anyway!
