Another dumb question from me about ignition box plug

Hi all

So I thought I would do the diy ignition retarder mod on my curvy (I know I know but its free!)

Decided to go with pulling the plug out of the ignition box under the rear seat as per this link:

However getting the plug out is easier said than done...:smt090

Is it to do with the tab at the top of the plug? Although a look with a torch down the plug doesn't show it hooking onto anything to secure the plug in...

Anyone got any hints for getting the plug out?

it has tab on top of plug just like any other connector. push down on it and jiggle connector off.

It's got a rubber seal which can sometimes be sticky, push tab down and jiggle. If that doesn't work you can wrap a flathead screwdriver in a bit of tape and pry it off with that. If you do this, do both sides evenly.

To get the wire out of the connector a small jewellers screwdriver is good. But I would just chop them off, as I can't see any point in reconnecting them.
