Hi just after some advice.
I have a set of Avons on my SV650 at the moment, but I am needing a new set now. The avons were on the bike when I purchased it secondhand, but I haven't been very impressed with them. Just wanting to know if anyone can suggest some good tyres for both trackday and road riding.
Thanks for any advice

More avons :-P

Viper sport is good, but if I was doing a lot of trackdays I would fit some race scrub supercorsas

Have a look theres loads of info for you to read through :thumright:

But i dont reccomend bridgestones after my front bt021 was knackered after 3,500 miles and they wouldnt admit there was a fault with it  never buying their tyres again.

Ooh- that's not good.

Just put an 021 on the front (to match the rear). Had 020s on last time- the 021s are sposed to do about 10% more miles.

Did the fitter put the tyre on the right way round? That can sap the miles out of them (as I found a year ago...)

I dont do track days or even ride that hard, but a tyre that has impressed me no end for all round performace, both wet and dry, is the Michelin Pilot road 2. Always been a bridgestone man until I used these.

I've just changed my dunlop roadsmarts (lasted me 7500 miles and 2 track days!) to Pirelli Diablos. I've just scrubbed them in at Mallory and was pretty impressed with the grip even in the p***ing rain. Everyone i've spoken to seems to rate them and they are pretty cheap!
