Just finished my first year in the supertwins over here in Ireland, I'm thinking of having a bit of work done to the engine to release a few more ponies, will porting the heads make a big difference? I'm limited to 650cc but thats all, I can do what ever I want to the engine to get more BHP. Currently run full Leo Vince and PC111 with standard airfilter and I have opened the filter box intake a bit more. Should I be changing rings and valves? Engine has 3700 road miles and appox 500 track/race miles.
Thanks in advance.

You could get the heads flowed/skimmed, race cams, race filter (BMC are good). Get lightweight pistons/rods and run a total-loss ignition system so it'll rev up faster. There's more but it's really budget dependent.

What engine?
Yeah take magnets out of alternator will save you some inertia, get rid of stator. And this is free!
Then get flatslides, or bored out throttle bodies if you are injected.
