Or perhaps it should read, "stalked by ex-wife."

Split 20yrs, divorced for 19yrs, and still all hell explodes too often. Married too young, grew up and grew apart. Because of the children, we were in contact often. I paid the maint, + extra on a regular basis so she could give them the best - and I wouldn't be seen as a sugar daddy for them, spoiling them whilst their mum couldn't do stuff for them was never going to happen.

I remarried 15yrs ago, to number 2 who has always tried her best for them too. But sadly with limited success.

Down the years my ex has turned up at all sorts of family do's. My mum and dad's golden anni, various birthday bashes.

Last Xmas the same but with the biggest almighty rumble, and fallout that lasted for months. Found out a few gems from them, like apparently I'd never paid the maint. FFS, I'd even paid it when they were at uni when strictly speaking I didn't have to.

Fast forward to this weekend. Got all the family together for my birthday bash. Great Saturday, taking them out on the bike. Great meal on the evening. Out with the dog yesterday on the beach. She turns up lunchtime, and starts World War 357.

Today the eldest girl tells me that she'd told mum about Mrs B's 50th in June, to Rome. The ex has only gone and booked the same holiday, at the same time in the same hotel.

It would be a shame to spend my twilight years in Durham jail but...

Breathe in, hold, and relax - rant over.

Exactly what I was going to say, don't even tell the wife, (the current one) it would be a cracking surprise.

Per-chance this wouldn't be the same penguin that Dopey from the seven dwarfs had a problem with:D:D

She sounds a bit of a loon. Definetly reschedule/change the venue of the holiday. It's your and your current partner's celebration, nothing to do with the ex. TBH, I can't imagine my ex coming to 'socialise' with me or whatever...nor would I dream of going to her/her parents for 'family occasions'.

Just do it - you know it makes sense.
