A couple of us are putting on a small party for a few kids for Halloween; we don't really like trick or treating and parties are more fun anyway.

So I've got doughnuts on string, jelly with eyeballs in and pin the witch on the broom. Wanted to do green mash to go with the sausages but everywhere has sold out of gren food colouring.

Any other suggestions?

get the kids to make loads of toffee apples...and then save some to bring to soho next week for us lot to rate.

do a halloween themed treasure hunt and have the last hidden object be near a parent with a scary mask jump out and make them Run like the babies they are !!!

A really good thing is invisible thread from the door frames. We used to do it in the pub and laughed everytime someone walked in and wiped thier face in panic :)

kids in a circle. Each has a ball of cotto,fine string. The idea is to pass these around to make a large spider's web..i think...

You could have lychee in jelly. They look a little like eyeballs with the stones in!

That reminds me. I love lychee. It's about getting to the season for them, isn't it? :)

Hang them from the washing line and get the kids to try to eat them with their hands behind their backs.

And I've just made pumpkin pie from the bits left over from cutting the scary face - and it smells yummy!

as a fun thing, get a white sheet and have 2 adults hold it up, have all the kids line up outside and let one in at a time. Put a torch behind the sheet so it shines through, and ask said victim to follow it with his nose, drag the torch to the top where a 3rd adult waits with a wet sponge and get em in the face with it. Always funny to watch XD

I hope you all wear the correct health and safety personal protective clothing...
otherwise if a child gets hurt, their parents might sue.

Kitkat has suggested ghost biscuits and also feely boxes. Shoe boxes with a hole in the top and stuff inside for them to feel and say what it is and for a twist get someone under the table at the end with their hand in the box to grab the unsuspecting childs hand
