Have just rebuilt the calipers on my GSXR front end and being the heavy handed moron I've managed to shear of the bleed nipple.

So how the hell do I now get that out? It's sheared of flush with the caliper

Any ideas?

Their name is so misleading! Never found anything easy where they're used!

Did it shear when you put it back in or shear off because it was seized?

Easyouts are just harder than any drillbit when they shear!

Agreed.

If you sheared itn trying to get it out, i would soak it in WD40 or Plus Gas over night before attempting it.

it went when I was bleeding the calipers through. Brakes are still working fine now.

Easy out might have half a chance of working then.

Edit: Might want to clean the caliper out after doing it though. Try an extractor gently first.

anyone know what size the bleed nipples are in SRAD calipers?

Finally got around to sorting this out after all it's only been like it for about 18 months! Did I mention it takes me a while to get around to doing things? There was no great rush really as the brakes are working perfectly well

Tried an easy out with no luck. So whats next to try? Dont really want to strip the caliper apart as I busted the nipple when I was bleeding them after replacing all the seals.

Have got a spare set of calipers but they need stripping and new seals and the bolts that hold the 2 halves together are a bit knackered. Got 3 out of 4 undone on one caliper and 1 out of 4 the rest all rounded out :smt076:smt076:smt076

if it snapped when it was getting tightened then a small hex bit tapped down the centre and an impact driver. failing that its drill time.

How about just leaving it where it is and getting a banjo bolt with a bleed nipple? Goodridge and others do them.

I bled it with the banjo bolt anyway hence the no great rush to sort it.

Too tight to spend out on a fancy banjo bolt lol
