Hi everyone,

Would anyone be able to tell me if the pair system has to be fitted under minitwin regulations? My K3 currently doesn't have it? Hopefully I'll be racing the old girl next year.:D

No it doesnt need to be fitted, can just be blanked off however it doesnt make much difference.

Save a few ounces perhaps? If you just want to disable it you can block the pipe from the airbox.
chewys stuff also sell a "healer" type widget to get rid of the solenoid without getting fault code. I think this is just a resistor in a box though.

I did this to mine partly for neatness getting rid of all the piping etc but also to simplify dyno sessions we were doing at the time.

Cool, thanks everyone!

I think its chewys kit installed on it... Some Alu plates on the cyclinder heads and a resistor in place of the solenoid.

I'm going to get my licence and BMCRC bits sorted on the 6th Dec. Hopefully see some of you guys next year!?

I am aware that this system opens a valve in the airbox and allows air to be fed into the exhaust port, but under what conditions does the valve open - Does anyone know?

For reference, you are not allowed to use blanking plates to remove the PAIR system. You can cap the standard black plastic outlets but they must remain along with the valves themselves.
