What a silly question

First choose your bacon. If you can get to know your pig first. Otherwise get to know a good pork butcher. Do not use supermarket cr@p

As a kid, we had sides of the stuff hanging for what seemed weeks, properly cured, non of your injected full of salty water rubbish thank you.

Cut a couple of thick rashers. Personally I prefer it grilled, but the wife seems to do it in the pan. I like it lean, cooked but not hard.

Ayrshire bacon, grilled just enough for the fat to crisp up a rich golden colour, in a roll with HP Sauce.

Guess what I'm going to do?

Boak!! Why anyone would want to eat Pig Scab is beyond me! And don't get me started on mushrooms, fungus - in the same group as athletes foot, and thrush for that matter.

Don't like eggs.. At all..

Mushrooms are pointless, greasy and annoying.

Tattie scone I like, but thought 6 pices of bacon and 2 slabs of lorne was taking the p!ss already...

Black puddenin', in a steak burger is amazing..

Lyk steak and black puddenin' mixed.

Chewy!! I hate HATE HATE!!! crispy bacon!!! don't see the point in it.
Just cook it till it's nice and soft and chewy, pat the fat off it with a kitchen towel and enjoy between two soft baps :)

Eggs have to be runny, simple as that, and mushrooms..mmmm...don't forget the beans, sausages and a good cup of English tea! two sugars milk...DAMMIT I'm hungry now...

My Iranian friend always asks before ordering

"Is the bacon Halal"? After being assured it is will then order 3 rashers with an egg on his butty.

PMSL! That sounds like an iranian for sure ;)

Was having a BBQ once, my nigerian friend Amy asked why i always used halal mince for my chilli con carne and when i said it just had a better flavour in my opinion she said great, i'll get some halal ribs for my marinade. She went into the butchers and asked if their pork ribs were halal

Whats Halal?

It's the method used worldwide by muslims of all races and nationalities to kill their meat for food. Similar to Jewish people eating a Kosher diet, or people wanting organically produced meat - it's all about provenance whether it be for ethical or religious purposes.

BTW - I, too, was prompted to knock up a bacon sarnie on the strength of this thread. the powers of auto-suggestion!

Swin

Pretty much the same as Kosher really, killed in a ritual manner making it acceptable to people of that faith.

Don't like bacon

So for me its a good old Scottish crispy roll and square sausage in a bed of Heinz's Tomato Ketchup!

Yummy :p

Swin

Square sausage - yummmm, and I like those curly sausages - Cumberland?

Bacon - brown the fat so it's not all stringy and yuck, serve with HP sauce :)

Any way, except American style which is basically burnt to a cinder!

With cheese, apple sauce and mayo is exceptionally good in a butty! :)

mine has to just see the frying pan or grill pan for just a few minuets, it still has to be pink and the fat has to be soggy and white :) basically just warm it up :)

Pah, you lead people with the question.

If you had given options of "crispy" or "moist and flavoursome" then answers would be different :-P
