As some of you know, I work in cricket and have decided to spend a couple of weeks of my annual leave next year volunteering for a charity called Cricket Without Boundaries. My placement will be in Uganda in late Feb/early March to teach the kids AIDS awareness in some very poor areas.
I need to raise £750 for the charity which pays for the education programmes they run as part of my commitment to the trip. I pay my own flight and meals so donations are not paying for a free holiday for me.
So, other than selling my body, which isn't going to raise much more than £2.56, what clever, creative, innovative fundraising ideas can you help me with?

Shave your head?
No, i;m joking, dont do that.
Hmmmm.... Will your bosses at work let you use the grounds for any of this? that little tour you gave me of the place was very interesting and i'm sure those who love cricket would donate something like a fiver or more for the same privilege?
You're a great cook, make some cakes/cookies and sell them at work, or soho to use greedy lot? Dunno if you do cakes n cookies tho.
Errrm, i'm sure i'll think of some more.
sponsored silence on the forum!
i think you 'll get more than £2.56 if you sell yourself as a slave for a set amount of time.
there is on with cocktail sticks but i'll need to look at that

I do bake cakes and cookies, I even came runner up in the MCC baking contest this year for my lemon triple decker sponge with home made lemon curd.

there you go, bring some yummy stuff to soho, sell it for 50-£1 per slice (depending on the size of the slice of course...i know its for charity n all that but my belly has to be satisfied without an overdraft). Small problem is that as its gets colder less peeps will be there on fridays.
But hell, we can sell it to the passing public too, i'm sure Neros wont mind too much.

even more reason to go for it - more hair equal more money
tho its must be filmed for us lot that can't make it
besides whats a 23 yr worried about - eh Spidey!
Okay, how's this:
Organise a raffle at work, tickets say £3 a pop (depending on the number of individuals in your office).
The prize is, "A waiter for a week"
Waiter for a week
"Be the envy of your colleagues, laugh as they fight for the kettle each morning and squabble over the last, crusty old mug in the cupboard. Live like a King or queen for a week and let your staff do all the work.
For one week indulge in:
Free lunch* every day, served
A week's morning tea or coffee, served
Afternoon tea, served
A caring text message each day
Being errand free (you do one errand a day)"
*up to the value of £5

But wait, she gets more money to go to africa with and i get the pain? Something not quite right about that equation.
And the only thing i'm worried about is all the Org ladies swooning when they see my lovely body on display and not being able to control themselves.
The number of dumped boyfriends and divorces i can deal with, its keeping a control on the queue of ladies outside my house thats hard work ;)

I like the idea of raffling off being someone's PA for a week. Work might let me do that.

Slave Auctions are always a good idea!
Why don't you speak to some of your colleagues? Get a couple of them, and you, and one lunchtime or something, hold an auction.
When I was in 6th Yr at school we did this for Comic Relief and raised quite a large amount of money.
