Just got back from a short ride-out with www.wiltshirebikers.co.uk (http://www.wiltshirebikers.co.uk).

Met at 10.00, stopped off at a memorial at 11.00 to show our respects in Shaftesbury, followed by a fry-up at a greasy spoon cafe (17 of us) and home.

Wet & cold, but it beats decorating.

Incident on the A350 when an oncoming car failed to take a right hander, hit the ditch, did a 360 deg bonnet & boot and ended up in a field.

Very lucky chap was fine but dazed, not sure what we would find when we got to him !
Car must be a right off.

Decorating this afternoon :(

Lolz. You just did!

Chilled out yesterday- just getting over a virus and 'post virus fatigue syndrome'. I did pop out and harvest all my chillies yesterday (and bring some of the plants indoors)- got a shedload of purple jalapenos now (well- black, purple and red) to get on with. Gonna give some away, freeze some, dry some and make sauce. Nice. Oops- sorry- wrong thread!

Er- practiced some guitar and watched dvds as well...

First day I've really been up to going out- went for a spin to Boxhill with my Bro- round the roundabouts behind Chessington/Epsom and through Langley Vale. Some of those roads are scary at the mo with all the leaf-mulch. I had to straighten out and come off a roundabout exit by Hook Arena as there was cr@p on the road and I couldn't grip enough (yes- amateur as I went it a bit too quick!)- kind of took my confidence out regarding grip!

Gah- hardly been out on pleasure rides this year and end up doing it when the weather and roads are rubbish. At least the traffic was pretty light though!

Was nice to get out. We stopped by Brockham common- my Bro went to fireworks there last night- the fire was still sizeable and burning (apparently as big as a house last night- from the centre post, I can believe that!).

Did the usual 'ooh- a 1098!' thing at Boxhill- see them so often now, but still ooh and aah!

Wow- it's like a school essay! "What did you do on your holidays!".

Lol! I had a geography teacher at secondary school that expected everyone to write at least 3 sides on any work they did. I got away with it because I was always very concise and economical with words!

I kicked my CBR600 off its paddock stand in a fit of temper, picked it up again only to hear the paddock stand hook puncture the sidewall of the still good super-sticky and mega-bucks rear tyre. Fitted a new throttle grip housing only to find the cables are too short and I need to make slightly longer ones - another 30 bloody quid. Tried to fit race fairing which fits where it touches (which is in all the wrong places) and needs so much modification I may as well have moulded a new one myself to start with (this is what caused me to lose my temper and boot the bike over). I broke the Mini-Metro choke knob that replaces the standard one on the CBR (it's normally a part of the switchgear that I've removed for racing)- another 12 quid to be spent. I ate a huge Chinese meal last night and went to bed with tummyache, woke this morning with serious tummyache and excruciating toothache too - ar$e.

On a lighter note, I took my Versys for a decent ride this afternoon, picked up the CBR brake discs I bought on ebay from my mum's and arranged a repair for my CBR's wet front wheel, and sold a pair of CBR mirrors to help fund some of the racing mods. Then I managed to find the elusive CBR rear caliper bolt I've been searching everywhere for in breakers all over the country (I put my own in my ex's SV because she managed to shear hers), and the bike shop owner let me have it for nowt.

Bit of a mixed bag really, I'll be glad to get back to work tomorrow to take my mind off the toothache.

I've never known what he was on about. Must be the West-Country drawl

Me? Footy Sat morning, put up new light fitment in dining room, moved some furniture about the house to make room for decorator chappie who's coming in on Tuesday.

Today, cooked lunch for eight peeps then fell asleep on the sofa

Then hurled radio out of the window when JT scored that dodgy goal. Drogba was offside and interferring with play. Glad that Jonny Evans managed to give Drogba a knack in the kickers though

I had a Wii evening on Friday night, lots of wine and a pizza. Was supposed to go to Uni Tutorial Saturday and decided to go in on my bike, as figured it would be easier to park, and after trying to find the place for about an hour and a half riding round Coventry and unable to get hold of my tutor I gave up and went for a ride on the Bike for a couple of hours.
Last night went to the Rocky horror picture show (was very good).... and yes i did dress up :)
Got home late last night and was too tired this morning to join the rideout arranged by a couple of the orgers to Ponderosa so had a relaxing day doing not alot :)
