thaks guys for your help, much appreciated, so fitting longer dog bones will help lower my bike for me (07 k7 sv650s) can u get these from suzuki dealer and if i ask for dog bones will they know what im on about, also are they hard to fit, 1 or 2 man job??
cheers
I just had mine done and they have made a huge difference for me. You will need to measure the length that you will need them at and whatever you lower in the dog bone will have to be compensated in the front, perhaps through the forks like they did on mine?

thanks amanda, glad to hear it def works, so lowering he rear means u need to raise front end little then, ta
Nah - if you are dropping the rear then you need to drop the front too in order to level it out. See the Lowering Kit thread x

well i would get a dealer to do them as i had to cut one of the bolts off to fit my higering kit (same as lowering dogbones just makes it higer in stead) as mine were stuck solid and sheared off, ebay sell them , these are -25mm link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-SV-650-Lowering-Kit-03-09-Suspension-link-25mm_W0QQitemZ330345830158QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Mo torcycle_Parts?hash=item4cea25570e) you may want -40mm ones link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-SV650-Lowering-Kit-03-09-Suspension-linkage-40mm_W0QQitemZ230363186434QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Mo torcycle_Parts?hash=item35a2b74502)
the bolts need 76nm of torque

Just be careful your buying ones that are made of the correct grade material, IE upto the job!. It has been known for cheap ones to fail.

What does this mean that is in a sellers advert for a 2007 sv650s
"35mm lowering link , also have the original"
Does this mean the bikes been lowered but they have everything i need to put it back to standard hight?
What tools do i need to re-fit the original links/bones?
Thanks in advance ian

^ yup that means that its lowered but comes with originals
you will need a stand that lifts the rear wheel but takes all weight off of swing arm and tire so a paddock stand is no good somthing like a abba stand, sockets and a torque wrench and brake bar and thats it i think, you will have to remove the rear wheel as well
