I've been listening to a bit of FlyLeaf and Effanevance (sic?!).

They're not bad & easy to work to when you've got you're headphones on.

Any other rock-chick-chick-y-rock bands of a sim nature out there that I should spotify?

Apparently, the'yre classed as "neo-goth, emo" bands.

Do you class any band with a female lead chick band?

If so Lacuna Coil are one of my fave :) Arch Enemy aren't too bad either :)

All girl rock, the only one I can think of is Kittie (Canadian).

Nope - Sad as I am, I was quoting a Maltesers advert from at least 3 years ago with the Rock-chick-chick-y-rock comment!

Cheers - I'll give them the pepsi challenge.....!

The Distillers.?

Seen Lacuna Coil live, were terrible. Best excuse to sit at the bar ever..

But Bleeding Through and Bullet for my Valentine followed soon after them, thank god.

I've got Bricks are Heavy....only one decent song on it.

Then there's 4 Non Blondes - but I'm kinda after newish stuff (otherwise I'd be listening to my Doro cds!)

Try Epica if you want to get really hot under the collar for female-fronted goth metal bands ;)

Hole (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aG9ly05Nucc&feature=related) anyone?

So Courtney is a bit of a cow, but she can scream for me any day... I so love her.

The guitarist with Hole, Melissa Auf der Maur (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_ys3K8dhEI) went solo and was fabulous.

Also Carol would kill me if I did not mention her band. This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wshRu9FasHo) is them having a practice, getting ready to record the album next year.

For you Darklings, there is always Gehenna (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBh2-oqtXoo). They had a female Black Metal Vocalist giving it beans on some songs.

You can never forget Siouxsie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szPQCvJ8MPg&feature=related) though, this is another woman singer who I just adore.

I quite like! The riffs remind me of Slayer & Megadeth with a snippet of Gary Moore (seriously!!!).

Carnivore, you have taste sir. Saw them play an immense gig in Edinburgh back in the day. And yes they did play etc, etc. 'kin excellent it was. Admittedly the "Tangerine" album was pants but that was a different line up and therefore a different band.

Wages of Sin is by far the best album! I didn't think to mention them cos I thought that you said women because you wanted some kind of womanly features! Angela Gossow is as brutal as a man, you can't tell it's a girl unless you see them live!
