I seem to remember Mein Fuhrer proving this last time.
The car has greater braking capability and more stability in the corners.
I think last time though it was a 1098 against a new skyline gtr.

*edit*

Didnt read the link properly before posting.
I clicked the link to find that its MCN rubbish, they would pitch a 125 varadero against an F1 car and still claim the bike was better/faster in the long run.

That was not a test. The driver looked like he was pootling to the shops. Usual MCN standard carp.

on a like-for-like basis, a car will beat a bike- Four tyres, four brakes, extra stability.

However, in terms of outright performance per unit of currency spent...well, bikes win hands down each time.

What sort of car can you get for £35,000 (new)? I expect it'll not quite be able to keep up with a desmo!

Anyway, my SV whips Ferrarri's and lambo's, i've even beaten a vayron once. Hurrah for traffic jams and filtering :sunny:

Pfft!! not much competitition really was there?..cars are easy prey imo..only last month on the way back from Devils Bridge had a play with a guy in a 59reg Porche Carrera(open road, hardly any traffic),stayed up his a$$ pushing him along for a few miles, got bored then went past him at around 1*0:)while giving a cheeky wave........never saw him again:D

We always assume the other guy is trying hard, or highly talented AND trying hard. Just because it was a fast car, does not mean it was being driven fast. I've been held up by 600 sport bikes on a twisty section of road near my house in my Peugeot 106! I guess that means bikes are easy pickings. :)

This video is about as meaningful as any typical encounter you might have on the road. It's very very rare that you see a car or bike being ridden hard and ridden well at the same time.

Perhaps some people don't feel the need to drive like a **** simply to prove how small their nob is to a complete stranger

Perhaps they don't fancy watching a biker die trying his hardest to keep up

Perhaps they don't fancy a stretch inside after being convicted of Death By Dangerous

Just a thought...:-?

I dunno was the car moving in that video. It looked a bit slow. I thought it would have been closer really. Maybe a lewis hamilton or jensen button behind the wheel of the car might have made it a bit more interesting indeed.

I guess in bang for your buck and value for money the bike is defo my choice :)

I've beaten nearly every type of motor on my £250 scooter, on my morning commute, in addition I get 90 miles to the gallon, road tax is £15, insurance £11 (i'm old). Come to think of it passed a few bikes too :shaking:

I've also held up a load of motors on my scooter, when the traffic clears :-dd

Don't do the riding like an idiot, never have, not fussed if others want to though, it's a choice. This test was a little rubbish though, I have to admit.

Scooters are like __________(please fill in yourself), great fun but you would not want your mates to know you'd ridden one :smt109
