I know! It's the thick layer of grime!
Just MOT'd the increasingly sheddy Northwindmobile today so now the only thing that's likely to keep me away will be if I destroy myself mountain biking at fort william the week before. But what are the chances of that?

What a difference a rebuild (of a {*spit*ebay}rebuild) makes... :)
In an odd turn of events I could be arsed to spend the last 3 hours, scraping, cleaning, greasing, swearing, assembling and bleeding my brakes. Lever feels awesome and *touch wood* piston travel is good, they all seem ok to push back in the calipers.
Next I need to fit my fag lighter socket and work out a way of making my satnav mount a bit more permanent (i.e do away with the cable ties!).

I've needed to sort them for ages, was on edge all through isle of man with the brakes like that.
Oh and one more for my list - sort out my lock stops so I can actually turn the bars!

Why?
Dave20046

Why?
Because I don't want the mount on all the time so if I can make something easy to put on and off that'd be better.

Get a new tent or buy yourself a mosquito net to hang up in the middle of the one you have. Seriously!
Another good tip for those with a built in inner tent, is to put your tent up with the inner door zipped up and leave it that way unless you are going in or out. Go in, zip it back up behind you, come out zip it back up again. Take a normal bottle of fly spray with you and 10 minutes before you want to go to bed, open the zip, give the inside a blast of spray and zip it up again. That way you can pretty much guarantee a sleep free of bites and buzzing noises round the ears.

Deet, jungle formula etc just dont cut it, Avon SSS all the way, The camp site does a roaring trade in hats with built in fly nets for the "tourists" seem to work but you will look like a http://anglersnet.co.uk/images/reviews/mozzyhat05.jpg........., you get the idea

there ARE some places that have Avon shops. Make sure that you get the green bottle "woodland fresh" variety and not the tarts handbag versions. That's the only one that works. BTW, the weathers been lovely all week so we're all hoping for generous helsings of the same for the weekend.

the link takes you to the Avon shop - the woodland fresh only comes in the dry oil spray now but still very effective. there should be enough time to order off there and for it to be delivered.
