Here are a few pics from my first ever track day at Cadwell park.
There was myself, my mate Chris on his bussa and punny express who went and we all had a great day. Thankfully the weather was kind to us.
What a track Cadwell is i recommend it to anyone :D
For some reason my visor kept misting up so i had to use the force to get around the track.

I would, but my picture-posting skills are worse than my riding!
Have downloaded pics to Photobucket, but working out what to do next.
Go for a ride, perhaps?
ps: hit a fallen branch on way home but no damage to bike or rider!
Branch reduced to kindling.

Once they're on photobucket look at your album and click on each picture you should be able to spot a link(url?) somewhere that you can copy and paste into a post on here.

Nice to see the Arai pinlock doing its job :thumright:
Tip take it out wash it with water and dry it with a hair dryer, thats what my friend at HG does and it seems to work, for a while...
Glad you had fun and a dry day though

Yup...when I came off at Anglesey, my lights were undamaged, yet my screen broke into a million pieces (OK - slight exaggeration) all over the track.

'cos I had the tape with me & they couldn't refuse a freebie!
It's really for glass, but looks sporty even if you can see diddlysquat on the way home.
Only one tree was mutilated in the end.
D20046, thanks will try it now:
Have my doubts about this one!
nice photos, great ones of the one I thought had retired "Foggy..."

Prehaps buy a cheap road worthy or even just pure track bike, that way if you slide down the tarmac your not too worried about fairings etc...
Good thing is your much safer than you would be on the road Newts.
Sorry i couldn't make it in the end, but came too the uk in the car and was back on island by the 16th :|... will see if i can do a track day with you sometime next year because i've been fancying ago for a while now.

.
That's what I was going to do but it worked out just about as economical as to trash my SV than to trash a cheap gsxr. If the bike was my only/main form of transport I would have done it though.

Yeh i wouldn't be so happy stuffing mine up still, yours is a early pointy right Dave?
To be honest i want to sell it anyway so thats probably part of the major reason i certinaly don't fancy ditching it anytime soon.
Its pretty much inevitable that you will bin your bike on the track at some point.
People say just take it easy, but if your like me you always want to push yourself that little bit more.
Looks like you had a good day weather wise, cadwell in winter is normally a nightmare for water running across the track and slippy leaves on the mountain section.
Amazed you could ride comfortably with your visor like that also :o

i decided if i get in to track days , when my restrication comes off i will get a better bike but turn the sv into a track bike (gsxr forks) but a road legal one so i can still get there lol :D , at least i can limp home but not wory about having to try and fix it for comuting purposes

Pipes dreams... everyone would love a second bike. You may as well do it on your current bike to see if you enjoy it first.

You can ride a few of the tracks on any bike, any power on a restricted licence!
My plan also - tracking the SV in a couple of years!

A bunch of us Soho-ers did Cadwell a couple months ago now. Long journey up but so worth the trip, what an awesome track it turned out to be.
First few laps i wondered if i'd ever remember the sequences and get the braking zones right, by the end of the day i crowned myself King of Cadwell
Ok i only went in inters and poped a couple of puny wheelies over the mountain compared to what the big boys were doing but it was a great day out and we had good weather too, woohoo!
Cadwell = fun :)

Oi !
I've got copyright on that one.
As you say. Cadwell is ace - just like a well-surfaced country road but without a Volvo coming the other way or a tractor stopped round the corner in a sea of mud.
