What do we think? (Yes, I know I'm crap with graphics and I didn't exactly take much time over it, but it's enough to get the idea) EDIT: changed this image for the one below because I think it gives a much better idea of the concept.

If I did it I would do it in a White/Silver colour that the new BMW K1300S (my dream bike if I could afford it!) comes in and it would be completely plain, no badges or graphics
http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en/bikes/sport/k1300s/media/color_k1300s_02_preview_neu.jpg
I have a K6 so the frame, wheels, etc are already black, would just need to spray the engine and the bits & pieces like footpegs, heel guards, pillion pegs, radiator end plates, etc. I have a stubbied Fuel stainless steel oval zorst, not high level like that M4, but still looks good (it's not black though). I would get a tail tidy and mini indicators, I already have a seat cowl.
Got the idea off the bike that's on the main site home page at the moment (http://www.sv650.org/), but I'd want to take it further than that and make it look unique.

The SV comes in white in Canada (the engine and footpegs are still silver same as the other models etc).

I thought of adding the belly pan to break up all the black, but I've never liked fairing lowers. Truth is I like the look of naked bikes, there's something more raw about seeing a bikes engine, but want the practicality of a fairing.
Part of the look is the contrast between the white top half and the black bottom half.
What do you think of it without lowers?

i think it looks good with just a belly pan but i'm the same as you, prefer the more naked look and the engine showing, but really white??? never really liked white bikes, unless a copper is on them.

Remember that riding that lovely white bike around this area it is very quickly going to look dirty. So while it may look nice sat in the garage after a wash, its gonna look dirty the second you ride it down the road.
edit: I do actually think the white looks very nice though

Hmm, thanks for that, I wouldn't want to go with such a 1980's shell suit white, but I wonder if I can find a picture of a white one without lowers so I can photoshop the engine, front mudguard, seat, screen, and the rest of it black to see how it looks

It's not white though, look at the colour of that beemer and the SV on the front page of the site. It's white from some angles and silver from others. I think that mix is bang up to date (but I'm known for not being "down with the kids", so maybe it's just an old barsteward trying too hard colour!).

I like it
I think that would work. Dont forget you'll want to spray the fork lowers as well...
The white on my GSXR has a metal flake in it, looks really nice in the sunlight, if you did something similar it would give an extra edge to the paint work to IMHO.
Think it'll look good Ralph. Seems everyone is wanting to paint their bike white and black ATM though.
I'm in the middle of painting my curvy like this. Very similar to the BMW photo.
Got bored over summer so bought some old panels, touched them up and just did a rattle can job as best i could. Unfortunately time came to move back to Nottingham and i didn't fancy bringing everything up here with me, so will finish them in the new year hopefully.
I'll get some photos up if i find the lead for my phone.

I like in white, drop the red seat and have it in either full or no fairing, hate the stuck on bits.

Thanks Christopher! Now transformed! Not actually sure it needs the belly pan? Need to imagine the mini-indicators. What does everyone think?

I really like the look of the SV with a belly pan, just adds that little something extra to the look. But if your going to have a white belly pan that front fender needs to be white too.

can you do white front fenda, white OE bellypan and white wheels? that'd look intresting.
Just save yourself the bother and buy one of these:

My cousin used to have a Bandit 600 Celebration Edition in Suzuki white and blue, which I used to babysit for whilst he was abroad, but white was the main colour and wheels and belly pan were white. Racingdavis highlighted that white is difficult to keep clean, but this bike was a NIGHTMARE with so much white low to the ground and in the spray. The nose and tank wasn't too bad, just washed clean with a bucket and sponge, but the tail got plastered after the first 100 yds.

That's a work of art! How much? I wouldn't ride it, I'd stick it on paddock stands in my office.
