I have a really big soft spot for 1990's 750's, I grew up reading about all of them in the mags and watching them swap paint in BSB. I'd love a YZF750. Does yours use alot of oil? I always read stuff about them using lots of oil compared to other bikes of the same era, apparently it was just a trait of the 5-valve yamaha engine

yeah they most of them use oil im using about 300ml per 1000 miles so not that bad, main reason they use a lot of oil is they were run hard on semi-synth oil from new, some dealers sent the bikes out with mineral oil in for the first 500 miles and they dont use oil, the bores never bedded in properly with semi in them. its a fuel thats the killer with them though only getting about 28mpg, oh and i thought about the boost but couldnt find anyone who would make up the graphics,

next job is to design an make a new tail piece for it, i hate that back light

If you ever fancy it, you could try these guys:

http://www.bike-stickers.com/homepage.htm

they did some new stickers for my dad's VFR400R NC24; that company produced them perfect, we were very pleased

hmm, 300 ml's in 1000 miles isnt too bad really (some manufacures say 1 liter per 1000 miles is acceptable for their new machines!). I use about 100 mls per 1000 miles, I know pete and lissa had to top up about 200 mls for every 200 miles they did on their SV!

The first time any one took me over 150mph was on one of these. At least he told me it was 150, it sure felt fast. Like the red, although the blue was nice.

go on you know you want to, plenty of them about an their cheap bikes now, well within the realms of a second bike now for a lot of people,
i paid £800 for mine nearly 2 years ago, have seen them go for around the £600 in the last few months,

they shift to, i know my bro on his 99 blade (with pillion) could keep up but not get past me a few times nailing it on the straights,

Very nice bike. I like the paint job in the first photos but then I am biased. I have an official notification from a reliable source that mine reached 160mph. I would like to say I was happy with that, but the magistrate changed my mind quite quickly.

I've had two of them. Both like the taste of oil a bit too much.

na, I'm saving my money for a honda VFR750 (maybe 800, but no vtec). I want a bike I can put a load of luggage on, switch on the sat nav and go riding with my girlfreind all day then check into a hotel when we get tired / bored / hungry / all of that

Later on in life, when I have a big garage / shed / living room / all three

then I'll build myself a fleet of 90's BSB ledgends
