I love Shark for their designs, they have some great lids and I like this one. However I did find that once I tried an Arai and then tried a Shark on after they are just not in the same league. I will now go for comfort all the way. My new Arai is amazing as is really cushions my whole head. Its like your Mum is clasping your head to her bossom and making it all feel nice and safe!! lol
IMHO - try on lots of different brands first before going for one cos of the design.

i do like the design, will help me get seen in the dark more(with my reflective rim tapes :D). i have a shark rsi already and i like the feel, arai's are expensive though. as long as it passes all the Eu tests though im happy.

That's cool! Not sure how long it would glow for, as the light fades slowly and is not that powerful. Might work better if you leave it indoors in strong light then go out at night.
They do do another version which we stock at the shop work at, i think it looks cool

From Scottishbiker :"The photo-luminescent paint recharges after 30 minutes in daylight and will glow for 20 hours before it needs to be recharged."
I think that is a bit ambitious but still, it glows.

No. "Glow in the dark" has been used in kids' toys/crayons etc for ages. It's phosphors, or at least man made chemicals which behave like phosphors. The phosphor is energised by light and radiates simple visible light.
I believe there are versions, like in watches, that use a radioactive element to energise the phosphor so it does not need to be exposed to light to "charge", but it's harmless.

It's a subtance called Tritium, inside a phosphorescent compound coated vial. Very cool :)
