Not a bad bike to ride, very reliable too.
If you work hard and put more effort into work you'll get a 450 next year ;)

yeh i'm sorry too:D-in an ideal world we'd have the KTM but i'll just have to struggle on with this and grudgingly accept the fact that
1-I don't need to plod now:grin:
2-I'm getting paid over thirty grand a year to ride this:grin::grin:
3-Getting brand new top of the range kit:grin::grin::grin:
4-Overtimes gonna be rolling in:grin::grin::grin::grin:
so overall no matter how she-ite some people think the bike is as far as i'm concerned i'm in a win win situation:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm positive barwel has said a few times that he is dislexic, i don't think we need to keep pointing out that his post's are not allways written in the Queens english, neither are mine, but i can allways make out what he is saying. peace and love.

Came across a copper riding one of these in the Centre of Leeds a few weeks ago. He rode up a set of steps, across a footbridge and down the steps at the other side. I was on the footbridge and told him he had a nice job as he passed. Getting paid to chase criminals round the local park, great fun!

Isn't a 250 a little underpowered if your in xxxl kit and going to be chasing some kid on a stolen 250...?

the headshed has been testing one for the last month and he's more than happy with the performance, reckons its good up to 90 on the roads, but most of our "targets" are gonna be off road.I've just finished a bulk so i'm due to cut soon and will drop about 1-2 stone so i'll be coming in at a nice 16 stone.
Matt-i know mate-very lucky to get this position,i've worked my backside off for the past five years and can honestly say i've contributed to making a difference for the locals where i work but this time its my turn to try something different-going to be going to wales for the bmw offroad training that charlie and thingymy mcgregor done -looking forward to it.

Nah, if the going gets rough he can just put his legs down and run, the bike will stay wedged betwixt his cheeks...

Good luck with the course mate. It is an enviable position to be in for those of us looking in, but I bet it won't all be sunny bimbles across the local landscape.

Nice Husky , Nice . And I`ll bet a year`s wages you could probably hustle one of them around wasteground in a safe and progressive fashion than any Chav or offroad wannabe could ;) . After watching a fair bit of those "Road Wars" style TV programs over the last week (off sick at the moment) and quite a lot of them seem to be on bikes ranging from MT50`s to CCM R30`s and these kids end up dumping them , despite being chased by a car and the officers have even ran them down on foot after they crash . Good luck with your dream job dude and most of all , have a great time on the BMW course .

You would be suprised what a chav (who knows what hes doing) on a dirtbike is capable of.
If its a stolen bike or they are somewhere they are not supposed to be, they can shift.
I know the WR250 can do 90 as Ive tested one at little london enduro.
Nice solid bikes.
If You were looking at getting one for yourself though, go for the 450...
...KTM ;)

Aye , one that knows what he is doing will always have the upper hand especially with local knowledge , but your average will probably dump and run at the first chance they get when they reach civilisation .
