Hi Guys,

I broke up with my gf of 5 years last weekend. :( My head is in a bit of a state and I have to move out of the house to Banbury now. I will have less internet access for a while, so don't think I've gone, but I hope to be back badder than ever in a bit.

Take it easy,
Nick

I think its is customary for one to wear the trousers, so this means nothing.

Hard to conceive of I know at the moment probably, but chin up, there's a fair few on here who have been through this and came out bigger and better (and even badder) ;)

Thanks for all the kind wishes guys, you are all very nice. Even the cheeky comments, they rock, if you can't laugh at a situation you might as well kill yourself . I won't be making it to any meets sadly, as I am busy moving my stuff and sorting out things. I am going to go out a bit with my mate to try to make me feel better. I know that this kind of stuff actually happens to a lot of people, so I feel sorry for them too, lets just hope it is all for the best. I will be back and I will see you all again!

P.S. Thanks Sophie, actually I do have a garage in the new place haha. Now my bike can rust in the dry.

If it wasn't for the in built compulsion men have for women, I would gladly be rid of most of them! Some of them are cool though, just need to find one of them.

Stu, glad you are getting round to getting it sorted mate, if you ever want a chat or a drink let me know and we can meet up. Spare couches in my new pad in Banbury now, its pretty cool.

Nick and Stu sorry to hear about your situations, I can honestly say having been through it all there really is someone out there for everyone. It just takes time finding the one for you and when you do everything else will not matter. ( Well for a few months atleast)

Speak for yourself chav-ho, Im an AWESOME girlfriend! ;)

If I was posting a reply 3 years ago, I would have said 'bah! relationships, who cares, blah blah' but now I will definately say that I truely believe that things happen for a reason.

To cliche 'there is someone out there for everyone' and 'you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince' (or princess as the case may be).

Sometimes if things dont work out, its because there is someone sooooo much better out there just waiting for you, you never know where she is hiding so keep your head clear and your heart open.

You are a lovely guy and you deserve a lovely girl, dont settle for less than you deserve....remember that x

AH VT thanks so much for saying that! But where is she?! Are you hiding her? Who has her? If she is sitting at home right now, how do I get her? Interesting thoughts go through your head while you are single, everything seems so easy when you are in a relationship.

That's the damn trouble, you just never know where she is at the moment. If you think about it, I had to come all the way from South Africa to England to find my Mr Right!

And rather strangely enough it was an unusual sequence of events that led me to him.

You will find your Miss Right, wherever she may be...

...but until you do, just enjoy yourself with the Miss Never-gonna-be-right but are quite fun ;)

Yeah we tend to call them 'slappers' up here in Northants, and the streets are full of them...just nip into Bridge street on a Friday or Saturday night, I can guarentee you that you wont find a decent girl around for miles!!! Except the ones in uniform hehe!
Actually there is a really pretty girl at work I was chatting to last night, asked in a round about way if she was single and she said yes, so I told her she would have to come to some of the biker get togethers!!

The same happened to me about a month ago. My boyfriend(of 1 year) and I split up. Have been moving today too and would not have done it without VT and Tris (love you VT and Tris :smt050)

Believe me it does get better. This was my second relationship after getting a divorce(was with my ex husband for 11 years in total) It is like riding a bike, you fall off and you just have to get back up and try again :)

Space in there for a Honda? You only need to save up for a house half the size now.

If there is any offer of garage space I think I should have it. I do now live in Coventry and that makes me closer to Banbary. My poor SV will have to sleep outside as I dont have a garage anymore :(

Speak for yourself chav-ho, Im an AWESOME girlfriend! ;)

I am too :) Shame the men dont stick around though :)

Interesting thoughts go through your head while you are single, everything seems so easy when you are in a relationship.

Yip things do seem easier in a relationship, but quiet soon you will start finding out who you are again and that is the best bit. :)
After being with the same person for such a long time you loose a bit of who you are and now is the time to find that out again :)
Good luck

Nats, dont worry about it, you are a great friend and I will do anything for you, like I said, I could never have let you struggle today.

As far as relationships go, Ive met both of you and you are both lovely people, you will find your Mr and Miss Right somewhere along the way as good people deserve happiness.

I never thought that I would find my Mr Right, but I did!
It makes you look back at your old relationships realise that you knew deep down that they just werent the right person for you.
Im still friends with my exes and there are no hard feelings I just now realise that they were never my soulmate, and you just seem to know when its right.

Hang in there....there is hope!

Coventry hey? Unlucky  I used to live in Earlsdon for 2 years while I was at Warwick uni, its alright if you get used to it, but there are nicer places ;). I have a garage in Banbury now so if you need a place to stick your bike you are more than welcome!

Actually, it sounds like we should all have a meet up at some point, I haven't seen VT for too long, and it would be good to meet some more people and shoot the proverbial. Just need to get my bike back from Birmingham as I rode up there on Sat (COLD!) and then it snowed even more and I got stranded up a hill with a fully iced road! Had to get a lift home from a mate.

As for the Miss right stuff, I am feeling much better now, just going to have fun and what will happen will happen :).

Well, it may be the Von Teeses to the rescue...

We are going to take the van and collect SVStorm's bike and take it to Cov, you might as well meet us at ours and we can bring yours down for you if you want and the weather is still rubbish (which I think it probably will be). We can all have a chat, you and SVStorm can swap horror stories and have a moaning session and we can arrange some ride outs for when the weather is better. I have a few people up here that will be up for a rideout when the weather is a bit better!

I can probably whip up lunch or something too!

How's that sound?

Yeah tell me about it. I moved from a stunning 2 bed house in a quiet cul de suc with a garage to a house share in Coventry near Ricoh arena. But if it gets me closer to saving for my house deposit then I guess it is going to be worth it.

I have a garage in Banbury now so if you need a place to stick your bike you are more than welcome!

Thanks may very well take you up on this offer. Will PM you once I have finished moving as dont think the bike will fit down side of house so may have to find an alternative :)

Yeah sounds like a plan. I hope to try and ride a bit over the winter as I am a newbie and want to keep the riding going. I do not mind riding in the rain and can manage the cold (hope to get some good thermals or heated vest and gloves sorted) I do however draw the line at snow and ice.

Hey gang, just a quick message to say I am off with the family for Christmas in Bristol, just checking in on the forum on a pinched laptop :). Things you are organising all sound cool, but I am not sure how I can fit in. I am back in Banbury on Sunday the 27th, and I somehow need a lift to south Birmingham if the ice has gone. Best take organising to PMs I guess. I'll keep trying to check in but my parents shout at me (quite rightly!) for being anti-social and surfing the net! Its my mate's garage (he is my landlord :)) so I just need to ask final permission, but there is nothing but my bike in it so far so I think there should be plenty of room for two bikes if that is what you want. So you'd want to keep your bike in Banbury when you live in Cov? I am slightly confused. Anyway, I am rambling, catch you all later and Merry Christmas!
