If she reads this i hope she gives you a jiffy bag full of air and says to keep it for an emergency if you need to re-inflate your tyre.
Grannies are allowed to be tight unless they are well minted.

Got to agree with Spidey on this one. Depends on your gran and it's totally up to her how she spends her money....she might be saving it all to leave to you one day, you never know.
Is she ok on the internet or can she easily make it to a bike shop to get you bike related goodies? I know my nan wouldn't have a clue where to start and I wouldn't want her to go to all that trouble.
I get things in white boxes off my nan every year, things that she's had free for filling in some questionnaire, listening to a life insurance quote etc...I don't care. It's a running joke in our family and she has the money to buy us lovely things, but she's my nan, I like that she spends her money on holidays as the rest of the time she is home alone.
Why don't you ask her for something she can easily get for you, that will save you little bits of money in the long run, like a packet of good razors that'll last you 6 months or some new pillows to get a good nights sleep. Maybe she could buy you one of your fav Bike mags and fill in the form inside and buy you a years subscription???
Like I said, depends on your nan and you're the only one that will know what she's easily able to get for you, regardless of it being expensive or cheap.
HTH x
Expect nothing and you won't be disappointed:D

moojuicepez, you could always tell her not to bother, but i suposeif you did that you would end up with either, socks/undies, or a christmas present jumper, lol. +1 to the other answers, some top ideas there.

Last year I had a pair of earings....clip ons, that were big round purple things about the size of a 10p piece, but like half a purple plastic marble sat in a gold ring....that you could see the bare metal where it hadn't been painted properly and the glue was sticking out...lol. Bless her!
Back on topic....coud she get you vouchers for a local bike shop that you like, you can choose your own stuff then!

Aha, family tensions are bad news when they spill over to other relatives who did nothing to deserve it.

Ha! I love my nan to bits....the pressies would be missed now if we didn't get them as we'd have nothing to compare and laugh about...lol. Every Christmas afternoon, me and my sister call eachother to discuss who got the carpiest pressie off her and why ours was worse...lol.
My cousins are in the same boat as you. Their dads mum hated their dad even as a child because apparently his dad got on with him so well, she got jealous. His dad died young, so she just all but ignored him from then on. She passed away last year. Now....have an issue with your son, whatever, but spill it on to your grandchildren.....NO WAY! Gareth and Bethan got nothing, not even a memento in her will and her other four grandchildren got £160,000 each near enough. I thought that was sick!
It's better to give than to receive:D
especially if it's sox!!!!!!
