Stick with the same, as its the cover and service I'm interested in, not the price

I have figures that between 60 And 75 % of people stay with the same Co. if this is true i may still have a job next year if its less than this then i'll be a doleite with £1.5 mil worth of debt so its a big gamble

I will stick with same so long as they provide me a good price again, since so far their service has been exemplary.

When I bought my VFR, I found that premiums were pretty consistent across the majority of providers (with a few exceptions). So the only other factor I care about is how they deal with claims.

I've not needed to claim on car or bike insurance for a long while. So I don't know if my insurers are good or not. I have had occasion to claim on my house insurance and I won't be changing providers any time soon. They were prompt, efficient and reasonable.

I have changed every year I have had bikes, had 4, in my 3rd years riding, been with 3 different companies.

Whoever is cheapest, as I am young, cheapest quote is more important to me than service, I can't afford to choose a higher price because of service.

Not changed my bike insurance for many years(but I do check for other deals)
I did change my car policy this year as my existing broker got nowhere near the deal I found on a comparison site.

For me its the cheapest so I switch every year. Unless my current company are still the cheapest in which case I stick with 'em.

i normally wait to see what my renewal quote is, then have a good old rummage on esure, then call my insurance back, inform them of my findings and see what they can offer me as a better deal :) either way, cheaper insurance is a winner

I balance cost and cover and go where I feel I am getting the best deal, not necessarily the cheapest. for that reason I have stuck with the same provider for the past two years on my bike, but swapped about annually for the proceeding 5 years.

Car insurance when I had it, I would shop about annually for better deals, and changed as and when I find a better quote.

I do not get into discussion. You give me your best shot first time, if I do not like it I go elsewhere.

I find it's hard to buy on 'service' as you don't really know how they'll behave until you make a claim.

On my car insurance I have stuck with the same for the last two years because they are almost the cheapest and they were very prompt and efficient when I made a claim.

I wish I'd bought more bike cover though. When I got my K2 curvy, I only insured it TPFT because I figured it wasn't worth the extra premium for such a low value bike. I'm baffled by my own decision, because it was £150 difference and I'm relatively well off - it wasn't money I needed to save.

Now I'm stuck with the rental Bandit while BLD (the people who my insurers appointed) try to get the at-fault-drivers insurers to admit liability. The repair estimate is £1,700 and the hire bike is racking up £80 per day. I'm a little nervous that if they cannot get them to accept liability then they may try and bill me for the hire bike, but I never signed anything with them accepting any charges or liability.... Am considering asking them to come and take it away just in case. Any advice anyone? I'm not riding it into work much at the moment because of the number of xmas drinks sessions...

I buy on price with the proviso that I think they are "reputable." For instance, Bennetts are avoided due to their shocking reputation.

The insurance industry seems to work on laziness, and I don't think I've ever had an existing insurer give me the best price on renewal. Amazing how often they'll match the best when phoned...
