I have a Naked K5 and need a new Radiator there are some on ebay
Listed .
03-04 (unfaired) and 03-04 (faired)
and then for K5 it doesnt say faired or unfaired.
Do you think the below will fit my Naked ?
Is there a diffrent in the Naked and S Radiators on a K5
i have read on here that the S has brackets for fairing and you cant fit a RAD cover ? Is this correct.
or are the filler caps and tubes in a diffrent place ?
I just want a stright swap i cant be messing about with extending tubes ect .
Cheers Ant.

I'm no expert on the later bikes but Alpha Sports seems to indicate that k4 had different part numbers for the naked and faired radiators whereas the k5 has the same part number for both meaning the same rad is shared by both models. See here (http://alpha-sports.com/spst/2005%20SV650,S/47.htm)
For that sort of money though (ouch) I'd probably wait for someone who knows more than me to reply ;)

My parts system shows me that the 2005 model onwards both faired and naked use the same Radiator. Hope that helps.

I always thought faired had a different filler cap ( a pipe fits to extend the hight of where you should fill it from ) and no mountings for a rad cover.
But like sarah said <2005 could be the same i have no clue for the newer models.
My K5S had mountings for the side covers from new and a filler neck extension built in. You could fit a naked rad to a faired bike, but the extension makes it look odd if you fit the faired rad to a naked (I know this because I had a faired SV1000 rad on my naked K3)

i have rang around a few places any they are all giving me one part number for a K5 Rad,
I have asked some for the part number for a Naked K5 and the part number for a K5S and they are both the same part number .
Suzuki SV650S 03-04 (faired) radiator
OE part number : 17710-16G30
Suzuki SV650N 03-04 (unfaired) radiator
OE part number : 17710-17G20
Suzuki SV650 05- radiator
OE part number : 17710-17G40 < for both faired and unfaired
I think i am just going to take my chances with this
