I learnt to pick locks a while ago when i was bored, never saw or tried this technique, will only work if the pins have straight edges though, the yale mushroom pins etc will make it alot harder.

The bump technique works well in theory but not so well in practice. Having sold property for many years i became a dab hand at working around locks. Its a good skill to have ;)

hahaha, there have been times in the past when ive had to tell clients to turn their backs while i get us in cos i forget the keys in the office or something, lol.

You'd be surprised just how easy some locks are.

Mate of mine is a locksmith, he makes some very expensive locks look very easy with a pick set made of spring steel from roadsweeper brushes.

If you're thinking about chains though I'm fairly sure most expensive padlocks aren't vulnerable to this.

one of the first things i did when i got my Abus Granit disclock and padlock was to try and pick them, lol. Very glad to say i failed cos if my amateur attempts had worked i'd have been none too pleased.

I have broken into many houses with the owners consent. You'd be surprised how small a window the average human can get through if the lock is being stubborn!

Apparently, if you can get your head in and you dont have a huge gut or extra wide hips thats all the space you need.
