Well, I'm sat here watching The Muppets Christmas Carol and I've got to thinking about which Christmas Movie is my favourite and there are many to choose from.

My fave is Die Hard (although Scrooged is my second choice).

"Ho ho ho. Now I have a machine gun"

What's yours?

Miracle on 34th Street - The original b&W version

Or of course 'The Great escape' - it's a Christmas movie, isn't it

All the above pale into insignificance next to "It's a Wonderful Life"

IMHO, of course :-)

It's good, but when I watched it the facial expressions of the kids just disturbed me a little. I think the creators had their sights set a bit high, and perhaps technology was lagging behind somewhat.

Elf is an all time classic though. Ferrell's best film maybe.

A christmas carol (1956 i think), with Alastairi Sim as Scrooge. I found it terrifying when I first saw it as a small child!

Can't believe no one has nominated 'The Snowman' although technically maybe not a full length film

Lovely animation, my 4 year old is watching it now :rendeer:

"The Santa Clause" (starring Tim Allen ) & "The Santa Clause 2"
Both are really good!

If you can find it (I can't, other than on TV every now and then) the 1984 version of "A Christmas Carol" starring George C. Scott is the best version of that story ever.
Scarey like the book. Brilliant film.

And of course everyone in the free world must watch "It's a Wonderful Life" every year.
