drag and drop?
doesn't work :(
Tried Command C & Command V, but no luck either
I Think I could sync, which will loose all the existing music on the nano - so is the only choice to have the Touch, nano & Mac all to be exactly the same? :smt102 :(
i think the nano will need to be synced with the computer to allow you to put the music on it. if there is music on it that you dont want to be lost, can you not save the files from it onto the new comp before syncing?
Hi, set up 2 users

I maybe wrong but I think each iPod can be synched to 5 computers, when you plug it I'm it recognises it.
At least that seems to happen with ours, my wife and use our iPods on the laptop and the main pc
Bris that would work with windows but my sister seems to have gone Mac crazy :roll:I maybe wrong but I think each iPod can be synched to 5 computers, when you plug it I'm it recognises it.

You seem to be confused with simple arithmetic. In the OP there was multiple iPods but only 1 computer ;)
You can link upto 5 ipods to one account. But you cant then plug that ipod into another pc and sync more tunes with that. It will erase all contaents, unless you change the settings.
OK, still struggling with this. :(
we've gone out and bought another computer just to sync with this iPod. But when we try to synch it says all music will be removed from the iPod and deleted first.
I've tried copying the music off the ipod first both through iTunes & explorer, but neither works.

You can have multiple Ipods with a single computer. Synching it will delete all the data the first time only as it adjusts to work with that computer. Drop me a PM if need be

I have 3 ipods synced on my PC. Set up seperate playlists for each Ipod, Uncheck all files in music, Drag & drop the tracks you want on each ipod to the relevant playlist. set ipod sync to checked items only then check all items in the relevant playlist & sync.

Is it just me that thinks this is completely stupid behaviour?

Stu, not sure this will work but I reckon it will. Copy I tunes from original computer onto an external hard drive. Copy I tunes onto new computer from extrenal hard drive. Copy your I tunes onto extermnal hard drive. Copy your I tunes onto new computer from external hard drive. Hopefully, that means that on the new computer you should have 1 I tunes but with all the music from mac and your computer.

Nope.
Try Sony Sonicstage if you want a truly stupid piece of software.

Current Sony MP3/MP4 players sync using Windows Media Player 11. Not Walkman-specific, so simple. Works well, too.
But yeah, SonicStage was a complete POS

I have tried before to take songs ect from my ipod onto my computer and has never worked. But i know there is some software on the net that im gna guess is free, that will enable you to download all the stuff you want from your ipod.
Maybe try this.....
