Back OT for a mo. The blokes' responses here would really tell any woman that we're pretty unjudgemental about size and shape. We're happy, really.

But I know of a number of ppl who've changed their minds about cosmetic surgery or body decoration. With respect to VT, tho, and in contrast to her, the incidence of failure of cosmetic surgery to achieve the personal expectations of the patient is startling. And as a concrete example of it being good to have no opinion about a person's motivation , I wonder if the opinions of "let 'em do what they want" would be different if we had to look deeper at the motivations, both in the longterm and shortterm, if for instance, we were on a gender re-assignment team. The requester (for any cosmetic procedure) frequently has misconceptions about the outcome and implications of their desire for alteration.
As another example, if someone posted here that they had a friend who had some obsessions they'd rather be without, and decided to have a prefrontal leucotomy (frontal lobotomy), would we all be saying, Yeah, go for it if that's what he wants?
P.S. In my experience, the most satisfied post-"cosmetic" outcomes I've seen have been after breast reduction surgery.
