OOOh it's all happening here
Live on a quiet little cul-de-sac in the posh part of town, lived here fifteen years and never known a crime happen nearby..
Tonight we have a new record, one ambulance, one panda car, one paramedic car and three trafpol are parked three doors up - went and asked if it was anything I should know about or none of my business and they just said it was being taken care of "nothing to see here" kind of deal
How interesting, should make the local rag next week, anyone fancy having a guess?

Possibly, there's a family who are mostly spot on but one of the kids is a tw*t in the car, already written off four, one of which was into a tree on our own road, had the police round then...

But why the ambulance? That should be at the scene of the hit and run not the ****ed driver's house.
I reckon it's a faulty sat nav system that has sent all the emergency services to the same wrong location and they are now stuck there up a cul de sac blocked in by each other and the fire engine you hav'nt yet spotted.:D

LOL
Nah, cud-de-sac forms a roundabout at the end, ambulance, paramedic and one trafpol up there, other trafpol and panda "hiding" at the end of the cud-de-sac in a side road

Hadnt really thought of the ambulance tbh, but.. seeing as you asked, could have been injured in the initial impact, they seen he was injured when they came round to investigate and so ordered said ambulance ;)

Ugh! You said the 'D' word!!
Had enough of those on Christmas night!
Think about it;
Take a family who dont meet up often (for a reason)
put them together for a day
Add copious amounts of alcohol
Voila!
Recipe for disaster!
[Edit] Traffic officers: possibly fastest responding in the area, sometimes our lot will help the response team in an emergency.
So they turn up then hand it over to the IRT with a cheery 'I'll leave it with you'

We've had the police helipcopter over our house for 4 days. Young man went missing last week after a night on the beer and they think he fell in the canal in town so they are waiting for the body to surface as dredging didn't find him. With all the ice he could by now have ended up down stream.
Even on Christmas day they were hovering up and down the course of the canal really slowly looking for him. So sad for his family.
Christmas time...suicide?

Update...
Spoke to a neighbour this afternoon (on another matter, not nosing...) and he saw the armada arrive, steamed up the road to the house I suspected at the top of the road, took one guy away in the ambulance, another in a police car and then spent some time taking photos inside the house...

Well the helicopter was up over ours again today and this time the divers found the poor lad's body, more than 10 days after he went missing, in exactly the spot where he was last seen by other pub goers and the CCTV - right in the town centre.
Not sure why it took so long, but I do feel for the family. A lesson to all of us not to get so drunk tonight that you can't walk properly, or at least avoid canals and busy roads on the way home and stay with your mates.

With all the floodwater in the river, it would have been difficult to see you hand in front of your face, plus the banks have undercuts which you can't see, where the flow eats away the bank underwater. So tricky for any diver.
Yes, it not uncommon for this to happen. A few years ago a lad from one of our cycling clubs fell into the docks in Ipswich on New Years eve and there's a Russian seaman missing at the moment in Ipswich, presumed drowned after going out to a few pubs.

Just been informed by someone who isn't prone to gossip that apparently the police were in full force because at some point that evening the wife ended up wearing a kitchen knife courtesy of the husband. She isn't pressing charges because she's claiming she tripped over the cat and fell on the knife, but eet will take more zan zat too fool Poirot eh?
There was also a van full of police dogs that left before we got home, didn't find out if they were Alsations or sniffers

Pretty sue that someone had passed away, as there's been a bad smell in the air, but we just assumed it was the drains.:(
