Ok my local stealer has an amazing zx6r in there showroom, looks great with custom seats on instead of the standard black ones and in kawa racing green, the only downsides are it has the old 599 engine, it also has the original can on.
If i was to get an original can for the sv cheap and drop it on would my Scorpian can fit on the zx?
Cheers for any help
i've bodged a sv can on a fzr1000 if you can get the link pipe anything's possible may run rough though dunno.

If you want a can for the SV you can have one of mine.
Theres 2 in my attic if you want one for free rather than cheap!

Doubt it very much!
But it would help immensely if you said which year of ZX6R you are talking about.
as you say old 599 I'm guessing up to 2001 ish? then it would be a 3 bolt fixing with no link pipe - so not much like an SV at all

the standard exhaust system on all the old 599 are the same but thanks
i wouldnt be able to afford a new can for it as well for awhile so looks like im going to have to wait to get a new bike i guess.
could chop it and bodge not really worth it though.

No. It's very different on a 2007, which is also an old 599 ;)

oh yes forgot about that, they only made a few 599's after 2003 when they fitted started fitting the 636 engine i think.
the one im looking at is the 95-22 version i think its either 99 or 00.
get a adapter off the net, will convert a slip on can to a bolt on can :)

Shop around these ninja's are pretty cheap, I traded my sv in for a zx636 04 and it's amazing, I have absolutly no regrets.

im test riding it tomorrow, unless theres snow, if i like it i will put a deposit on it then pick it up in march when my current mot ends and theres no more ice around.

I test rode it today because it was snowy yesterday, felt great, sounded ok with the standard can on but im sure theres a way to rip that baffle out. I could get used to the lack of engine braking im sure, but the main problem is funds there not giving me a good price for the sv, even with all the mods i have done but they will throw in some R&G bungs which will help, next to look at insurance prices.
Why do you keep teasing us?
You have not said yet exactly what bike it is? :???:
So how much? - as I would quite like to sell my ZX6R
