Where to?
Just fancy a few days away with a pool, hate Xmas and New Year isn't much better, so it would be nice to spring a surprise holiday on the family.

All good thanks! Il PM to keep this thread on track!
In my experience, Canary Islands are good for both adults and children, also Cypurs. Hope you find something and can I just say - what a nice thing to do for your family! Have fun!
Might not be so, seems like nobody wants to sell me a holiday!

What about going to a lodge in this country? Pack lots of food and games etc?
Hoeseasons?
Fancy messing around in a pool rather than freezing to death...although looking about it is going to be far too expensive. A nice thought but not looking likely TBH.

Isn't that what Top Boxes are for?!
I was only asking to see if you were riding down near Portugal.. but then I looked at the tickets and realised you didnt have time anyway.

You considered a posh hotel with a good health club and spa? SWMBO and I enjoy pools and hot tubs and so we often have a weekend break to just have a soak/steam/swim followed by a posh dinner. Don't know where you live but I can recommend the Celtic Manor in Newport, the Hilton in Cardiff, the Cricklade Hotel & Country Club near Cirencester and the Royal Hotel in Bray (Eire) for this :D
Try portland direct, I book all my holidays through them.
