As it says.

Popped in to the ward I was on to collect some drugs and in conversation with a nurse it came out that I'm still in huge pain after taking quite strong painkillers. The nursing staff all tell me this isn't right.

So here I am waiting to see the doc again... Bugger

:D

I'd have thought only the Dutch could come up with something so trippy and flog it to the rest of the world as a medicine...

I have some tramadol you can have ;)

Did the nurses not have enough of you perving on your first visit. I know you, ya will tell them anything to stay in there with all those uniforms

Single malt should do the trick.
Or is that too Scottish?
You could ask the Chinese for some of that heroin they confiscated------?

dude when i had my kidney stone issues they were very proactive, partly cos i got taken in by ambo i guess.

They did a scan in the morning and an xray later in the day and saw it wasn't moving but had got stuck in a kink in the tube (i know i'm kinky but i didnt expect that) hence they went in and took it out.

Make sure they do the same for you so you aint left not knowing if its stuck or not.

hospitals aint all bad tho.

You get to lie in bed all day.

You press a button and a chick in a nurses uniform shows up and brings you free drugs.

Now thats a good crimbo in my books

UPDATE:

I'm back home.

Had a shedload more tests done to try and determine what the problem with pain relief is and drawn a blank. I was given the choice of stay in overnight and be observed or go home and chance the drugs I have actually doing something. I took the latter option because I don't want to spend another night in there..

So far so good, the pain isn't quite so bad since I took the last dose of the day. Maybe it's just my body needing to come to terms with having any drugs at all in its system

Hope you're on the mend now Lozzo, and feeling much better very soon.

Despite Spidey's rather glass-half-full view of hospitals, I'm sure you're glad to be able to sleep in your own bed!

I don't enjoy being in hospital, I sleep well there but it's boring and pretty depressing being stuck with sick people all day long

If you haven't already, take the Tramadol on a regular basis to get your serum level up, top it up with 2 paracetamol four times a day, no more than 8 a day, I'd suggest prophylactic ooh-err laxatives while you're on the Tramadol altho nowhere near as bad as morphine at causing constipation but you don't want that as well.

And GWS.

(Stoned again?) Sorry. Where's the made-a-weak joke smiley?

My sister in law was admitted to ward 15 (willy or wee wee ward) at preston with kidney stones yesterday. Typical nurse she only works two floors down and too lazy to do her shift.

Might be because she owes me for the laptop I bought for her to give to my brother and doesn't want to cough up

PS get well soon, I gather they hurt.
