cool, love the yellow and black.
...(sorry if this ****s on your bonfire ) but the main plus of having stomp grips, for me, is for the grip , do the tank protectors give any more grip?

the tank protector/stomp grips do give a littel grip as they are they are rubbery but i fitted them to reduce scratches that appeared on my previous sv.

Dave beat me to it, stomp grips are there to give a lot of grip on the tank as its effectively spikey bubble wrap stuff (thats technical for you!;) ) but if its anti scratch you want, I guess the tank pad will do a pretty good job of what can be a high paint wear area.

that was my plan as i dont like the look of stomp grips or the cost. I also heard that stop grips wear your leathers away?

Rubbish.

The I am guessing that you havn't seen them applied properly.
They are about £30 depending on what bike they are for and well worth the money.
Reduced upper body fatigue, better control, better grip and protected paint are well worth the money:thumleft:

What are you protecting the fuel cap from?

Not that I've noticed, and I had them fitted for lots of miles

Good idea on the crash bungs. They would be the first thing to fit to any bike I owned if it didnt already have them, maybe even before I first rode it!

Thought about a belly pan?

Should have saved it and put it towards a set of stomp grip ;)

I'd heard that about the leathers too but also heard it was the makers of the a rival product that started that rumour (snakeskin?), the stompgrips are good for me, I'm not arsed about scratching the tank but I'm a bit of a lanky sod and my legs don't tuck under the tank bulge properly so've almost decked it off the bike a few times when my legs have slipped.
However that's a great improvisation for a bit more grip and a good job of protecting the tank.

So I guess you converted to Stomp grips after the thread ages ago then Dave?

The one where you posted the pics of your daytona (think quiff started it)? yeah. I think they're great, glad I did it. Was a nice solution for the leg slip and was a good temp solution to me not fitting the bike properly (exhausts in the path of rearsets and I'm lazy/tight)
