View Full Version : Farewell Dr Who
So, the second-best doctor has now regenerated into an emo-teen.
Fan-dabbie-dozie. I mean REALLY. Was there a focus-group or a survey or something? "What is popular with kidz nowadays that we can exploit?" or was the thinknig, "Well, we can't get better than Tennant so let;s get someone really bad and kill him off at the end of the first series when everyone complains about him?"
He had 2 minutes of screen time and I just wanted to punch him. I think I would have preferred him to regenerate back into Sly McCoy.
Okay, I could be wrong. Maybe I should give him a chance. But I dunno, I think he's gonna be a big pair of y-fronts.
Dammit - my NY resolution was to rant less......
i think the new doctor looks good

blimey, give him a chance, he didnt even get to say much yet!
I look forward to the new doctor. tennant was good, but there were some things about him that got on my nerves...like saying words with "s" in through gritted teeth like an english sean connery..

WTF was going on?
Part two was the first D.Tenent (sp?) Dr. Who episode I've watched and it didn't make much sense...

Its a brave man who follows in David Tennants footsteps though isnt it.
He was IMHO a bl**dy ace Dr, I'm going to give the new chap a chance, but half the reason I've followed Dr Who so closely over the last few years have been because of the guy playing the Dr...
I thought he was quite clever, he played the regen scene in a Tennant like way so you got some continuity of it...
Hasnt Russell T Davies departed as well ?

The second part was awesome, I watched it in HD with the sound cranked up OMG! Is all I have to say:D
I think the BBC does some really good since fiction I have enjoyed it, I would love for Torch Wood to come back for another run, the last was just awesome.
Er how can y'll judge someone on a few minutes screen time, I would watch a few shows first before its wrote off. I for one will be exicted to see the new season.

yup, it's the guy who writes the scary scripts now

NOOOOO hes a fugly mofo!!
Enjoyed the last episode of the proper Dr, but didn't they drag out the ending. I'd have had it ended after he'd gone in the tardis when he told Bernard Cribbins he'd be back.

Sorry, have to agree - new Dr looks like set to be a right let down.
If the powers that be think he'll be able to follow the spikey hair scot then maybe i'm wrong (hope so).

I don't like the look of him either, the reason i had watched it was because of David Tennant , he made it what it was the new guy to me just isn't going to cut it.
i wont right him off just yet.

Is it wrong for a 38 year old mother of three to cry at dr.who? T'was very sad i thought. Everyone dissed Katherine Tate when she started on the show and i think she was great, so im gonna reserve judgement on the new doc, although i agree, first impressions werent great.
Personally, i'd like a night with Captain Jack :smt060I cant stand John Barrowman but Captain Jack certainly floats my boat ;) Bring back Torchwood NOW!!!

Last night's Dr Who was awesome and yes it's OK for a 38 year old mother to cry (:-dd).
I wasn't keen on David Tennant replacing Christopher Ecclestone but he was brilliant so I'm holding judgement on this new one....

Anybody else notice that the glove that the time lord was wearing was the one used in the first episode of torchwood?
Or was it just Jenn and I being nerds?
