View Full Version : Top Gear tonight 8pm
Last episode of Season 14:
"Jeremy Clarkson tests the BMW X6 in Australia, Spain and Barbados. James May joins Margaret Calvert, one of the designers of many of Britain's road signs, as he drives the Vauxhall Insignia VXR, and Richard Hammond tries out a £340,000 Lexus supercar. Plus, musician Seasick Steve is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car."

Funny how during the repeats on Dave I use the "Star in a reasonably priced car" segment to go make a cuppa
In this episode it's about the only thing that makes me want to tune in...
Hopefully they can turn the series around next year...

someone decent in the reasonably priced car
will watch the repeat
I'm a (modified) car fan (as well as bikes obviously) and really like the new LFA.
202 MPH / 0 - 60 3.6, not slow either :p
This should have been the new "Supra" !

+1 was watching a couple on Dave over the hols and the ones from about 3 seasons ago are brilliant but its lost a certain something.
I only look forward to the challenges now.

Saw one of the new X6's yesterday. FOOKIN MONSTER of a car. Looked about twice as tall as my golf as it overtook me. Left it for dead on the roundabouts though :p

does anyone know if the whole top gear ceasing thing is true?
There are rumours but I'm cynical, pretty much the only thing the bbc have going for themselves at the mo bar dragons den and the odd show on bbc3

Absobloodylutely.
I had a dream about him last night O.O Elvis was playing guitar and Seasick Steve came on, took his guitar and immediately broke a string.
Anyway, looking forward, as usual, to, as usual, another seemingly stupidly short series' finalé :D
Seasick Steve was good. Best part of the episode really, i agree.
Also did anyone else recognise the Peak District on the James May/Vauxhall bit?

I think that last night was possibly the worst episode ever... made all the worse by their awareness of 'time filling'.
What was JC's trips to Aus, Spain and Tokyo all about? He can't surely have been just for this episode..? Makes me think about the TV licensing thread!!!

makes sense why they only do 7 or so episodes in a season though.
tbh I'd rather they were doing 7 episodes which were amazing with all the trials etc than that they did 21episodes like last nights.

I actually saw the x6 shown in the alps in early December whilst on a ski trip to Tignes.
It looked huge and out of place as it was so clean compared to all the rest of the french dirty hatchbacks. It looked quite cramped inside.

I thought i recognised the ski resort. Thought it was Alp D'Huez, but clearly not.
