I'm in! In fact, why not start tomorrow night, I've not ridden my bike for over two weeks!

Stig

No bike. Live too far away. Better things to do. Can't be bothered. Have a cold. Washing my hair. Dog's needs a walk. Cat needs a kick. Car is going in the garage.

To cold, Bike won't start and has fuel injector issues as well when it does and there is still snow and ice on my front lawn so i am not hardcore enough.

Possibly in depending on location and weather. Got heated gloves now = yay. 8 inches of snow forecast for Banbury tomorrow = boo. Banbury is really far away from the shire horse now. :(

Well I did venture out tonight, in an attempt to get to Asda and back before the snow. Fail!

My new 9r, with suspected carb icing, in the snow, was not great!

The meet is not for another 6 days. We could be in the middle of a heat wave by then. Okay, maybe not.

I would turn up in the car as I have snow chains but I'm on late shift next week.

Sosha

Hmmm guess it might be worth seeing what the weekend brings then...

If there is gonna be anybody there I might as well pop along. If the weather is bad I might pussy out and use the car.

sam anon

I'm keen, but I only have 9 miles to the meet!

Stig
11-01-10, 11:08 AM
Well the forecast snow didn't arrive, so no excuse for you all really is there. :)

Sosha
11-01-10, 11:39 AM
Well unless we suddenly go Scott of the Arctic, I'll pry myself away from the paintbrush.

Stig
11-01-10, 12:15 PM
Good effort. Well more effort than I intend to put in anyway. I can't be bothered with doing the 75 mile commute home so late at night. ;)

I may have to pussy out as my bike is now stuck on my drive. My road hasn't been cleared and I just spent 20min trying to get it up to the house from the main road. A nice old lady leant me a spade to dig the rear wheel out. I did some cool snow burnouts though :p

Looks like I might have to pass. Having trouble finding a sitter to look after the little lad whilst Mrs is at work.

Dunno what planet you lot are on, but my bike is snowed into the garage! Banbury council still haven't gritted or plowed, its just one big ice rink would my estate, which is also on a hill too! We slid down it in a car this morning, no way a bike would make it.

For that reason, I am out. :)

+1

The council won't do either! I cleared some of the snow myself this morning from my road so I could get out of my estate without using the snow chains. Do they make snow chains for bikes? :p

Well there's an invite for meeting at Tony's if I've ever heard one!

On a more serious note, shall we it call cancelled?

Oooops, that was for Nicks party.
I can still make the Shire, albeit in the car.

Bring the little lad to the party too :P

You think I would corrupt a nine year old by letting him attend one of your parties.......you are so wrong.

sam anon

Well I can come tonight, but am also happy to stay at home, depending on what the hardcore few decide!

I'll check the thread later today.

Me too.

philbut

My bike is still stuck on the drive unfortunately so I won't be there. I can't even cycle down my road and as Nick will tell you I always cycle even in carp weather. I am sick of snow now. :-(

Stig
12-01-10, 01:06 PM
I've had enough of it too. But then I don't like it in the first place.

Sosha
12-01-10, 02:37 PM
Sod it. Let's snow check it 'til Nick's Housewarming?

Stig
12-01-10, 02:49 PM
Is Nick's housewarming going ahead though? Or is it going to be rained/snowed/hailed off?

philbut
12-01-10, 02:54 PM
Well I'm sure Nick will be in attendance anyway ;-) This is the first time in years I wish I had a cage. I hate being stuck with no transport - or having to risk crashign just to get to the main road. Come on sun!!!!!

FG1
12-01-10, 03:00 PM
I will make the effort if anybody is going, just make sure that this thread is updated asap or text/call me on my moby

I vote cancel it! John?

My housewarming is definitely on, I have lots of confirms now! People can come in cars if need, its more about partying than riding on Saturday night!

Weather for banbury says it'll be 2 to 4 degrees for two days before Saturday, then maybe some rain on Sat, so hopefully it'll be fine to ride and most of the snow will be gone! We could even get people from banbury station if they wanted to take the train.

Sosha
12-01-10, 04:29 PM
John MIA, Phil snowed in, Me, Sam & the suit wearer ambiguous....

Excecutive decision....

I'll be painting the lounge (again)

So I recon Cancelled.

Stig
