Got my insurance renewal through for the Exup, all looked well, it's still cheap. I suppose there has to be some benefits for being an old bloke on an old bike. Now, like a lot of people, my business has been struggling for over a year now and I've been thinking that it may be time for a change.
When I looked at my insurance documents there it is:
Occupation, Yacht master and Bagpipe maker.
I hadn't considered either of them, but to put them together I have to confess I'm tempted. A quick call to my brokers explained it. They allocate codes to occupations and they've recently changed the system but neglected to tell the person dealing with my renewal. All credit to the young lady on the phone, she kept her composure for several minutes while she sorted it out and then got the giggles. New documents on their way. I hope they don't come while I'm at sea. I'm a bit gutted that I missed the orders for bagpipes over Hogmanay though.
