Samsung X820 - help needed, please

When I switch my mobile on, the brief intro as it loads up is VERY loud. How do I turn the sound down, or turn the sound off?

I can't find anything in the manual.

If its like my samsung, go to settings, select phone settings and then look for an option for "startup menu".

Switch off the startup screen and away you go.

There's no start up option. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
