Been having alot more recently since the cold weather- so whats your soup of choice?
Handsdown winner for me is homemade (Chicken, rice and Garlic) done through the handheld blender-lovely:thumleft:.
I made chicken broth for the first time ever the other day. It's ace....!
Home made for me too - about once a week I round up any spare veggies in the fridge, boil them up a bit with some chopped onions, garlic and ginger, bit of herbs, salt and pepper, blend it then stir through some creme-fraiche if we have some.
Most shop bought soups taste horrible to me after home made - at least I know what I'm getting with home made!

Mulligatawny (SP?) all the way, with an extra splash or 2 of Tabasco...Oxtail would be a close 2nd for me.

Homemade soup is always a winner in this house. Carrot, cauliflower, chicken, cabbage, you name it! will be having a lot more with being on a diet (:()

Mulligatawny is damn good, but I think my favourite is a tie between tomato-feta and split-pea.
Turkey soup after Thanksgiving as well :)

I am just about to start making a leek & potato.
However, my personal favourites are always Broccoli & Stilton and asparagus (make that tomorrow). Making soup is dead easy, nutritious and fresh ingredients. Give it a go
