In Weston it seems to be melting away at last. There are still places where it is clinging on, our road has an inch of slick ice on it which makes driving fun.
Will be glad when it is gone, it is rubbish ice here, can't even play on it properly. :smt090 Put my crampons and axe away today... :(
Bring on the rain to wash away the dirty snow, I hate it when people let their dogs foul the pavement and snow makes it look worse because the colour leaches into the snow surrounding the fresh mound a little. Also it makes snow cones taste funny!

Parents have alot, between foot and a half and 2 foot.
Aberdeen has not much apart from frozen pavements and frozen side roads with the remains!

Wigan;
Still cold, but only about 0 degrees. The snow isn't melting much, the road through the estate is about two inches of solid, clear ice. Yesterday at Dunham Massey near Altrincham it was crisp, frosty and beautiful.
Today, the kids moaned when I suggested a walk! They had to go though, they are like puppies, if they stay in all day, they drive us nuts!
I'm looking forward to summer now. Especially as we have booked our holiday to France!

Had a chinook here for three days, currently +6 C (-28 C Thursday!) The main roads are clear, but our side roads are in the shade for most of the day so they are still snow and ice covered.

There's been a couple of light snow showers here in Bedford today but overall it seems to be thawing out and disappearing :D
Just as well seeing as I'm working outside with a table saw all week - Brrrrr!

Started reading that and thought "That's the first time I've heard that term since I've been in the UK" -then I noticed where you were posting from. :)
Edit: Had a good melt here today, but just peeked outside and it's started frosting up again. Looks like it'll be hovering around zero for the rest of the week.

Hmm, still several inches here, hopefully it'll continue to thaw overnight
Started melting earlier but refroze as it got dark. About -1C here now, positively tropical compared to earlier in the week.

Slowly melting, there's a constant 'drip drip drip' sound outside now, snowed again this afternoon a couple of times, only light though.
Outside temperature now feels positively warm in comparison to the last few days.

Slushy and yuky today. Back streets are still a nightmare
Preffered it when it was really cold, the snow was just like powder
Plus is grey and over cast to add to the gloom

Still got loads here. It warmed up but the snow was trying all day yesterday, before eventually giving us another 2" last night. My neighbour got off her drive this morning to find that her school in town was closed, so came back but was unable to get back on her drive. She's now parked on mine, but wont be going anywhere without a tow / push.
Weather forecast is for more tomorrow.
