Good work that man! In today's economic times, any sort of pay rise indicates a heartfelt belief that you are underpaid for the work you do.

i'd negotiate and go for 48% myself, never accept their first offer and never give in. If they dont play ball them em to get stuffed and leave. Trust me, its the best way to squeeze another 1% out of them ;)

awwwwwwwww they don`t wanna lose their boy :smt090
I suppose it is a big thing for them. My son told me last month that he feels that at 22 he should be getting his own place etc etc etc. I raised the point that when he`d only be there every other month what was the point in paying rent, bills etc when he won`t be there? He thinks he should be getting his own place tho and if thats what he wants then i`ll support him as much as I can. I`m sure your parents will too if it`s what you really want hun

Congratulations on the pay rise. Just don't be in too much of a rush to move away from home. If you're smart about it and you get along well enough with mum you can use the opportunity to save to get a decent amount of cash together towards your own home instead of throwing it away on paying off someone else's property. Bank the 47% while at home and come out ahead.
It's all relative! He could have been on £2 an hour before! :)
Jokes aside, well done mate.
