Faired Sv has one tooth less on the front I think (or its the other way round). This Ebay item doesn't say if it's for a naked or faired Sv

It does actually say for unfaired so i'll order it and give them hell if it doesn't fit!

Thanks for the help.

other way round i think naked has less top end but more pull Correct! We have a 'winner'

This is due to not having any fairings for the aerodynamics, so Mr Suzuki decided that the naked should have a better pull off as opposed to a better top end.

*Who would buy a naked for long distance/motorway journeys, any way - divs*!

* runs away to hide.

The naked has one more tooth on the rear. The fronts are the same.

the tooth up tooth down isnt much of a issue the chain links are
naked 110 s 108 now i have had a s chain on an n but it wouldnt advise it and the adjusters were fully to the rear and it was still tight as
but why dont you just comfirm its 110 with a quick message then buy it

I had it the oposite, I got a N kit on my S and my adjusters were near enough fully adjusted untill i removed 2 links and put a new one in, the extra tooth on the rear sprocket made a small but noticeable difference to acceleration as well

:eek:

Does the SV fairing actually cut down on wind noise, as i read alot about how it can make the situation worse by focusing the air that was going to hit your chest towards your face.

My primary concern is always wind noise, the wind blast doesn't bother me.

I had a 48T rear sprocket on the N and it was ace. Stock gearing is crap round town as you've got to brake. And it's crap round twisties because you end up right down in the revs and out of the power in slow corners. Only thing was it was a bit buzzy on the motorway.

Standard screen is carp, it's better with a double bubble

I've had no problems doing decent miles on the motorway at a fair speed.
